Just wanted to take a minute and say thank you to Ed from SRT Supply for the great service and great rifle. The price was EXCELLENT on this new AI AW folder and I couldn't be happier with the rifle. Ed was very easy to work with and made the transaction very smooth.

AI built a hell of a rifle and I think it will be a keeper. the 4 groove 1-12 Border liked just about everything I fed it with the worst load combinations still holding 1/2moa in seriously shitty conditions (25mph quartering/switchy wind).

Some 100 yard load development:

And some 300 yard development, with admittedly shitty shooting on my part (all had a single flier I was responsible for lol):

Tried .020" jump with the 175 with less success then .040" jump so I'm going to try 44.9 and 45.1gr charges and see if it tightens up any more. This rifle is the least picky one I have owned and really surprised me that it liked the 155.5 Berger.

Couldn't be happier. To sum my experience so far up with a picture:

Re: New AW from SRT

It is a 45moa mount and was suggested by Dianne at MHSA as it does not require modification for the PH 5-25. 45moa is way more then a .308 would need with the premier as I ended up with 26mils of available up elevation. But its nice to not have to cut it so I went with her suggestion and will again in the future.

LVMIKE - Nice blaster! It looks like mine minus the color.

DesertHK - The Premiers have 37 mils total internal travel and 28 mils on a double-turn knob. With a 45 MOA base (13.1 mil cant), that should leave .9 mils down and 27.1 mils up assuming the 100-yard zero doesn't put the erector at the top of tube.

I've done the math on my PR 3-15 and AI would need to make a 35 MOA scope mount to achieve a 100 YZ with a full 28 mils of knob travel.

I have an 18 MOA base (5.2 mil cant) on mine and get 23.5 mils of up with a 100YZ. A 28 MOA (8.1 mil) would be slightly better, providing 26.4 mils of up. But, either one is plenty for .308 at 1000 and out to 1350 with the right load. Since Mike isn't making it past 26 mils on the knob, I'm left thinking his scope might be bottomed out.

Someone please correct me if my math is off here.

Re: New AW from SRT

I have 26.1mils up elevation from zero (100y). I would not suggest the 45moa for anything but a double turn s&b 5-25 or dt 5-25 PH. I have in the past used a modified 28moa pic rail mount with the same optic pictured and it was probably a better fit for a 308, as it still had around 16mils of elevation. But from deserts math I should have 1.9mils down still incase another barrel prints lower.

Theory is sound, but field data may be slightly different that's all.
