New build..help me spend some tax money?

So the Proof Research barrel I purchased has a 5/8x24 threads on the business end and was wondering if any of you have experimented a little with comps? I did some digging and found some research done on the APA fat bastard, did really well but there’s a new version 2 so I don’t know if it’s just as good or if that’s the one the test was done with.

Check out the Insite arms Heathen Brake as well. There's a couple reviews on here for it. I will have one on my 6.5CM in the next couple weeks as well.

Why in the world are you specing this with a long action? You're just asking for feeding issues, stick to short actions for short action rounds.

My advice, buy an AI AX... I know you want to build id yourself, but in the future you can order barrels and change them yourself with a 4mm allen wrench.

I purchased a brake already I’ll post up a picture here in a few minutes. There was so much positive feedback from others that I searched on that I went with AREA 419’s

I’m not if you would have read mine and others replies, you’d see I’ve stuck to a short action.

Thank you for the advice I appreciate it but I’m going to stick to building something you can’t buy off a shelf and I’ll be able to switch barrels AND calibers with the set up I’m going after.

Question for you fellas, any recommended AICS magazines you guys recommend that would work flawless with the TL3 and MPA chassis? From what I gather on MPA’s website it’ll only take the AICS magazines.

This is exactly what I would recommend. Don't know why you would want a long action for a 6.5CM.

You could change bolt heads, use the same action and have 28 Nosler , 6.5 creed, 223 switch barrel. Might have a hell of a time getting the 223 to feed. LOL.

As I said to his response and as it’s been discussed through the thread, I won’t be going that route as I didn’t know I might run into issues so I’ll be sticking to a short action chassis. Now, which AICS magazines would you guys recommend.
