MSRP = MAP in 2019...there is no separation like there used to be.
We expect to have these in hand in June
Damn, still great prices all things considering. Also curious about preorder opportunities.

Doesn't matter on most accurate semi autos
And for clip ons you need 1.5 or 1.375" rings anyway
Can you confirm a dock date on these? The demand for these scopes are pretty crazy right now and one customer is throwing singles at me to be the first on the list

preorders? The rumor is June, we will see...
I'll start throwing cash at you too!?The demand for these scopes are pretty crazy right now and one customer is throwing singles at me to be the first on the list

rolls of quartersDo you have one dollar bills in sequential order?
Forgive my ignorance, but what does that mean exactly? The MSRP also makes it production class legal.
the 2.5-20 is $1950 which will work for PRS production classForgive my ignorance, but what does that mean exactly?
Hey! Don't make me come up there! I'm only a little over an hour away. You'll be swimmin in cash!!?
Gotcha ??the 2.5-20 is $1950 which will work for PRS production class
While the Mil-C reticle is not exactly what I was looking for, I'll have to settle with that and pick one up when money is saved.
Would love the 4-32x50 with the Mil-XT reticle, but I think they are going to stick with the Mil-C for product line reasons.

Pair the NX8 with a BadRock rifle build and you got one heck of a production rig!The MSRP also makes it production class legal.
Agreed. Think they really missed the mark on this if they are reserving that reticle to the ATACR series. Leave that for the Horus line. This optic is perfect for many who do not need the 34mm tube and some of the other bells and whistles. Tree reticles are more and more sought after, so why not give the option. This is where companies like Vortex and Athlon have really hit the mark with consumers. If Vortex releases the rumored AMG in this mag range they are going to kill this optic if they offer the EBR-7C or similar.I could see them introducing the Mil-XT honestly. At least i hope
I'm wondering how they will pan out being so short. I have faith and the prices are superb for what we're getting just curious. There have been short optics that have short comings that would keep me from running them, whilst on paper looking great. Think Mark 6 or March 3-24x42. Granted i'm sure NF did their homework, i wonder what the eyebox is like and the resolution for that matter at 20x on an optic with an 8x erector and a scope body measuring only 12". I still think given a preorder i'm going to have a hard time not snagging one for a gas gun. Literally screams SPR/AR10 optic.

Great points, thank you. It is definitely something to think about and keep in mind. Will there be a new AMG scope on the horizon, yes, but there is no guarantee that scope is coming anytime soon. Also, keep in mind the current AMG is a 4x erector, I would be shocked it the next AMG comes anywhere close to 8x. With short body scopes and high magnifications comes compromises, as the March 3-24 has shown DOF is a compromise with that optic. Resolution and CA sometimes become a compromise. I wonder what compromises NF made with these, definitely one to keep on the radar.

Yes certainly great points you bring up. I would certainly be amazed if they revamped with a different erector configuration for it as well. Always have to give something to gain something but their current 1-8 offerings have been very well received, particularly the ATACR, though that's a a class up, but certainly showing good things can be done with 8x zoom ratios. Definitely keeping an eye on this though. Will there be a new AMG scope on the horizon, yes, but there is no guarantee that scope is coming anytime soon. I'm certainly hoping that's the case, cause it will be finding a home on my 16" 308 AR. Think a lot of people would be jumping on these for hunting rigs like you're talking about.I think Mil-XT will be offered honestly. Mil-c is great but it almost be disingenuous to the purpose of the optic to leave it with limited reticle selection now that they have the Mil-XT. Probably just launching with the Mil-C. The more i think about it the more i want to put my k318i on the 223 trainer and grab an NX8 for my hunting setup on the impact.
Until NF comes out with a decent reticle In their higher powered optics it's hard to take them seriously.
Not a fan of the Mil-XT or Horus varieties then?Until NF comes out with a decent reticle In their higher powered optics it's hard to take them seriously.
Horus reticles are aids and the mil-xt is a rip off of the h59.
Let's take a beautifully piece or glass and fill time with grids that make PID difficult and the scope look like your seeing through a screen.
There are so many elegant Xmas tree reticles on the market that work and don't look like a Jackson Pollock painting.
The best reticles nf ever made were the old velocity ones and the one in the ATACR8. At least they are usable.
Going back I will be interested to see how this compares to the mark 5.
Similiar weight, 3-18 vs 2-20, lit bit of difference in reticle, assume nx8 is 30mm vs 34mm
I have stopped short of actually making that comparison, but that is, to me, a SUPER obvious one. I really think those two scopes will battle it out for “this vs that” for a while. I know NF will win on illumination, but the MK5 is a 35mm. That can be good or bad, as 30mm mounts are easier to find. But I’d guess the MK5 would have more internal adjustment. This is a great time to be a shooter/competitor. I’m seeing a 2.5-20 on an 18” 6.5CM gasser that I have.
Can you share if any of your shooters experienced any tunneling at the low mags?Hopping in here since our photos got shared. Can confirm we did shoot these last week, but did not get 100% of full release details, and we're limited to what we're allowed to say here. So, currently no official pre-orders, but our guys who shot them would be more than happy to let you pick their brains and take your info to call you when we can start pre-orders. Can definitely say they were fantastic and just as cool as all of you are speculating! Here's one we didn't share on the facebook page....
