I just put this hunting rig together last night. 7PRC built on a Zermatt Origin, Proof 24” CF prefit, Manners Pro Hunter, Hawkins Hunter BM, TT Special, Area 419 brake. Action and barrel was purchased from Owen @Front Range Precision and a trade got me the stock, BM and trigger.
With the NF ATACR 7-35 in the ARC Mbrace and bipod attached, the rig weighs 11.5lbs. NF / ARC is a place holder as they weigh 3.1lbs. I can shave a pound by going to a Leupold Mk5 with aluminum rings.
I zeroed her last night with factory Hornady 175ELD-X. Took 5 rounds to zero with the last 2 rounds touching @ 100. Had to get the lawn mowed before it got dark so I had to stop. Will get velocity and SD on ammo soon. Looking forward to the range. So far really happy with how she turned out. 2024 Elk hunt in NM or Idaho is the plan.
