Where do you live? Do you have a fever or any other symptoms? My first thought is RMSF!! Any tick bites? Rash anywhere else like wrists or ankles? Headaches or muscle aches? Mouth sores? My second thought is vasculitis. Neither are good. That does not look like contact dermatitis - poison ivy/urushiol produces more juicy vesicles! I PM'd you differential diagnosis (septic emboli edocarditis,hand-foot-mouth disease, secondary syphilis, meningococcemia). You need a doc.

I'm in S.C. and this happened in August '23.
Like I said I did some grinding and welding on my rusty old bush hog on Wednesday or Thursday morning and by the afternoon the itching had set in. The pics were taken the following weekend.
I don't recall any of the other symptoms you mention, other than muscle/joint aches which are a never ending thing due to my age and profession.
No tick bites though I did have several cases of what I believed to be red bugs in the spring-early summer before the supposed poison oak/ivy outbreak.
The rash was limited to the palms and fingers of my hands, none on the backs or up my arms or anywhere else which does seem a little odd for poison oak/ivy now that I think about it because I distinctly remember wearing shorts and a tee shirt that day.
Anyway whatever it was ran its course in about 10 days or so and the pain, itching and swelling cleared up and about a week later the skin started peeling off.
I really don't know what it was but I just took it to be another case of poison oak/ivy. It hasn't came back since, but I haven't done any more grinding/welding on the bush hog to see if that's what caused it either.

If my wife’s family is any indication, the overwhelming majority of votes for Harris will be based on the fact that “she’s not Trump”. I think that the same could be said for the 20 election. I’ve personally thought that the biggest problem Trump has is…..Trump. I’ve also thought that if ANYONE other than someone who is apparently so stunningly unlikeable to so many people was running against that Dem clown show, this wouldn’t even be a race. Frustrating.
Put up your own harris wallz sign in solidarity. Make them feel welcome. Have them over for dinner. Go to their house for dinner. Covertly make an inventory of entry points and useful things in case of civil unrest.
