I believe it is a DD in the US or at least the ammo is

The weapon would presumably be a DD on account of its bore diameter unless they get a sporting exemption which obviously any reasonable company would probably pursue. The .950 JDJ rifles got it, so here's to hoping. The ammo I believe is only a DD if it's got above a certain explosive charge in the projectile but don't quote me on that.

Went up to the booth though and as the rep was waxing poetic about the custom turned hyper-precision ammo they're getting made for it I was like "Yeah can I run Russian swamp surplus through this?" Would be cool to sling some API rounds from this thing.


This was one of like two guns that actually made me excited at SHOT. Just an outrageously cool firearm, and I can't wait to shoot it!

Where I live you can buy the Anzio 20mm rifle but not the ammo...at least that is what I was told. I tried your explanation and said it (the ammo) does not contain an explosive. They gave me the finger and said move along
