Looks like my RCBS 505 scales are toast after knocking them off the shelf.

Trying to decide between RCBS 10-10 scales or electronic but most of the <$150 electronic scales don't get good reviews.

Should I buy the 10-10s or get a set of electronic scales? If you recommend electronic, which ones?

They will mostly be used for weighing powder and bullets.

Re: New scale recommendations?

The Dillon electronic is around $140 and it works well, I don't have a zero drifting problem and it stays calibrated (comes with a calibration weight). There is a really nice scale that Sinclair carries for around $300 it measures to .02 grains I think.

Re: New scale recommendations?

search Egay for a Lyman M5, its a old style 10-10, after that get a Chargemaster, I'm about to buy the thing Boltripper is going to post, but let me tell ya, its exspensive, its more accurite than a MXX-123, and a hell of alot faster.

Contact RCBS. They'll have you send it to Ohaus. You may find the repair cost very reasonable.

If you're going to get a new scale, get the RCBS ChargeMaster Combo and let it dispense and weigh the powder charges. MidSouth has it on sale for $280.
