A heavier Cross makes it less interesting to me. That, and the Born and Raised part. Not a fan.
They should support this product by putting out barrels and extensions first, then mods.
I'm not a fan of the "Born & Raised" branding, but otherwise this rifle seems to be a nice middle ground between the standard cross and the "PRS" version.
This one is a 24" 6.5 Creed, with a RRS compatible handguard, and it's still only around 8lbs. Which means I can buy it, add something like an Razor LHT, bipod, and a lightweight titanium suppressor (like an Ultra 7 or Ultra 5) and the rifle will still be around, or possibly under, 12lbs all up.
Not mountain rifle light, but not bad for a do-all general purpose rifle.
I think they'll probably sell a ton of these. Heck, I might even buy one and rattle can it so I don't have to look at the branding.
But I do wish it was available in 6.5 PRC....
ETA: At 8lbs, this rifle is really too light to appeal to someone wanting a dedicated PRS rifle. But it would make a perfect all purpose gun or NRL Hunter factory class rifle, and I think that's who it's probably aimed at. The PRS version, at 14 lbs, is definitely more in line with a dedicated match rifle.
