New Stick: AIAT LE version

Just wanted to share a pick of my new stick, AIAT LE model. Bought the all black 20” incher from Mile High ( thank you Dan )last month to get the black AX buttstock. I was hoping to get some green skins for it but they are all out of stock. Well I did the better thing and got Greg Ballard of On Target Custom to spray them with a little OD and Grey in this skull pattern. I like how it came out and it transformed this rifle into “ mine” .

Coal iron

Rifle is mine for duty, comps, and range. The coal iron is from my grandparents. Have a few of those, some regular irons that you heat by a fire, and quite a few old butter churns.

Certainly a cool looking gun. But skulls all over a duty gun? That would be a no go for me. We’re not even allowed to have a punisher symbol on the back plate of our glocks

That's why I asked if it was a duty gun. Not that I personally care, in fact I think it's a really cool paint job, but I can see some people inside and outside of the department seeing the skulls as nothing but a liability.

Exactly. Skins can be changed very easily. And it isn’t the only rifle I have for duty use. In fact, my main duty rifle wears a Nightforce 3.5x15 mil scope SFP. I understand about the negative of the “ dark “ look. Been doing this cops and robbers shit for 22 years now.

I was going to ask the same thing. Definitely wouldn't fly in my Dept.

Glad I didn’t post a pic of a Wood stocked Remington 700 BDL. I wouldn’t want to offend any conservationist. I know it would not fly at any department guys, damn I am smarter than that. When I said it was duty, comp, range I mean it’s just that. A generalized statement, yes it can be used on duty but I would change the skins well before I decided to carry it. The point of the post was about praising mile high, on target customs and just throwing out a little rifle porn. Easy up guys, I’m on your side

How do you like the KMW stocks?? I've never been Happy with any of my manners.

I like the KMW stocks quite a bit, but I also like the McMillan A5 and the AI stocks. I find that I can adapt to any of them pretty easily and my shooting really doesn’t change. If your fundamentals are pretty tight and there, I believe that you should be able to shoot them all the same. I still think that the KMW loggerhead cheekiest adjustment is the best and most bombproof out there.

Not sure what you mean? I don't have an AT cheekpiece replacement, I thought the factory one was adjustable enough and went low enough for everyone. Is there something you'd like to see improved?

Yes, sorry for the confusion. The buttstock will be the AX, which uses a unique cheekpiece compared to the AT.

This is what you'd be looking for to lower the cheekpiece height by ~3/8" --> Anarchy Outdoors AX Cheekpiece
