Night Vision New to me Aquila 4x

I've come into some decent Aquila 4x scopes lately and want to put them to use on some counter varmint and destructive animal cull hunts this year.

I've reviewed the little available on the SH forums but I was wondering if after a few years on the line there was more to know.

Do they handle transport well and keep their zero? Any recommended illuminators for bolt action and AR platforms in suppressed 300 BLK? Are the adjustments consistent enough or should I just PBR zero and go?

They are supposedly THE best dedicated NV scopes around. I have used them. Heavy, but worth while.

What tubes do they have?

You're probably going to want illumination regardless. Someone will be along shortly to offer up the best options.

Not sure which tubes they are. How do I find out?

They look great and are comparable in a lot of ways to AN/AVS-9 in clarity but I haven't got a good light meter to really test their low-light performance

Any idea who they were originally purchased from? If TNVC, they may have tube data on file. Not sure about the other vendors.

Unfortunatley not. Are there significant performance characteristics I should look for to discern one tube from another?

That's some good looking bacon but I think it'd have to be a lot of pig to make that make sense. I mean, it does save a few steps...

Previous owner says he got them around 2014-2015 sometime and that the name Litten or Lettin comes to mind. L3 is most likely the case. Seems to line up with the literature out there.

Yeah I looked it up after I spoke to him. Looks like it's most likely an L3 (Litton) tube of the Omni VIII variety. Pretty good piece of gear.
