OK guys, Ive finally decided to start reloading. Up to this point, I thought the equipment involved in reloading was expensive. Once I found out that it wasnt that bad (in fact, it appears to be downright CHEAP), I decided to give it a go.
Questions:
A fellow hide member has pointed me in teh direction of the RCBS Rock Chucker kit, kind of as a "starter up kit" for pretty cheap (Midway has it listed for @ $320)
Say I picked up this kit, what else would I need, if anything at all?
I definitely want to reload for my .308, but my .223 APPEARS to be not worth it??? I looked at brass, and with bullets, and for what you can pick .223 ammo up for, almost seems like I would spend MORE on reloading????
And, since Im not going for accuracy (well, not real concerned with sub MOA out of it....it's my AR, and is used for 100 yards and under)
I can pick up a box of 20, 55 grain Win FMJ for a little over $8 (was a little over $9, but price actually DROPPED)
So, not sure I can beat that.....
So, was wanting to reload for the .308, and Im in process of building a 7MM Rem Mag.
I also have a 1911 .45...but not sure about that...any suggestions/opinions?
Any sugesstions on manufactures of equipmet? Sponsors? Etc...
Thanks guys.
