Just want to say thanks for all the great info on this forum. Last August I got a new tikka t-3 light in 7 mag. Over the last month or so I up graded to Redding dies and bought all the necessary gauges. I reloaded 20 years ago and just started back at it. My buddy from high school never stopped so last weekend he helped me out. We both learned a lot since we never got this technical for PA white tails. He was pretty impressed with the new toys and the ladder tests we ran. I used my gun to test Berger 168 classic hunters with H-1000 and my father in laws t-3 to test some Berger vld hunting 140's. Here are the tests.
Both tests were shot at 300 yds and at clip length. I forgot my brothers chronograph so I did not get any velocities. Hopefully I won't forget it the next time. May try the 140's with H 4350 the next time as well. I know the vld's can be picky about seating depth so do you think that is why the test for the 140's is not so defined? I saw no pressure signs at all with any of the loads. We had a blast and will continue when we get some time. Thanks again for the great site and any feedback you provide.
