Crew couldn't tell if ship was in autopilot mode or manual mode (was in auto)whats the short version ?
They accelerated for around 3 miniutes into a grounding because they could not figure out the auto pilot was on. Auto pilot held course but allowed for power adjustments. They went from 40% to 100% power, thinking more power would turn the ship faster, but again the auto pilot was over ruling their course corrections.whats the short version ?
Ooops! So, basically no one on the bridge or involved with the navigation system was capable of or should have been on the bridge. That explains everything. They accelerated for around 3 miniutes into a grounding because they could not figure out the auto pilot was on. Auto pilot held course but allowed for power adjustments. NZ is a small island nation at the bottom of the world, who’s entire defence strategy is:My takeaway is that the NZ "Navy" is not an actual military branch, and cannot be trusted not to sink their ships and kill their sailors suggesting a battle efficiency of something very close to zero. My guess is that all those redactions aren't even secrets, but even more embarrassing circumstances than even the clown show we know.

NZ is a small island nation at the bottom of the world, who’s entire defence strategy is:
-be too far away to easily attack
-be to small to be worth attacking
-hope that Australia will come to the rescue should an attack ever occur
It logically follows that the entire military is a joke as they don’t take their role in the world seriously.
Outside of disaster relief in the panic islands (which is increasing difficult as their planes are never serviceable) and the SAS, the military in general is beyond a joke.
they definitely were not Brock Horners.Ooops! So, basically no one on the bridge or involved with the navigation system was capable of or should have been on the bridge. That explains everything.
seems like an unsafe way to wire an auto pilot at least have a dash light that says auto pilot on or one human that is qualified to operate it on the bridge better yet program it to disconnect when any one makes certain helm changesThey accelerated for around 3 miniutes into a grounding because they could not figure out the auto pilot was on. You don’t think there was an indicatorseems like an unsafe way to wire an auto pilot at least have a dash light that says auto pilot on or one human that is qualified to operate it on the bridge better yet program it to disconnect when any one makes certain helm changes
The solution.one human that is qualified to operate it on the bridge
maybe they can start to put postems on the control panel until ............The solution.
There was nothing wrong with the ship, other than unqualified operators according to the report.
Sounds like a baby brother for Canada.NZ is a small island nation at the bottom of the world, who’s entire defence strategy is:

Sounds like she’s a beaver bandit AND a retard?Extra tldr, they were trying to correct course for 40min before grounding. They kept increasing throttle thinking it may eventually change course but it just kept accelerating straight.
Captain finally made it to the bridge shortly before collision and said to somebody else to make a suggestion because they knew it better than her. Upon initial abandon ship order, she said to use the bathroom first of necessary before boarding the escape rafts.
From a dingey to VLCC the very first action order on a steering casualty, or any loss of positive command for that matter, is to take off all way. I think your average farmer who has never been on a boat or ever seen the ocean could figure that out. It takes a special kind of moron to assess there is no steering so we should hit the gas. They accelerated for around 3 miniutes into a grounding because they could not figure out the auto pilot was on. Correction, to have a fully crewed Navy ship and not have a qualified Officer of the Deck, Conning Officer, and Helmsman steering ought to be a violation of the captain's standing orders, and/or a violation of the regulations for operating a Naval ship. I am not aware of any circumstances where an auto pilot would ever be engaged on a Navy ship. Even if the bridge is completely blown away you man aft steering. There just isn't a case where you would use autopilot...maybe if the crew is mostly killed by a virus, down to one, and you have to keep the engines going? To not first check the autopilot shows that their command is at the very, very bottom of capability. Having had several boats with autopilot, I know that automatically without thinking that is the very first thing a skipper or helmsman would normally do.
This goes along with the NZ push to have CB digital currency. Commies in power and trying to stay that way.
As much as I hate Islam and pretty much everything and everyone associated with it, it does have this covered.
lol yes farmers dumbFrom a dingey to VLCC the very first action order on a steering casualty, or any loss of positive command for that matter, is to take off all way.
