Somebody asked me on another thread to take some pics through the scope on low and high magnification finally got out to the range to do it. My picture taking skills through the scope are horrible so please don't judge the actual glass quality like this. Doing this only to show reticle size for comparison.

Edit: Just wanted to add that these pics were taken with a Tenebraex ARD installed I meant to take it off for these pics, but forgot so I if anyone wondered what the view looks like with one installed....this is it. If you looked at the bottom pic and was thinking the sunshade seemed short this why its not the sunshade its the ARD installed.

    Thanks

This reticle is all I'd own if they'd just start putting into the 4-16x42mm. I just shot a DMR match with the Mil-R reticle, and it officially sucks IMO. The wind holds were 0.2 to 1.0 mils all day long. I found myself fighting with the reticle more than using it.

Yea I had the MIL-R in the BEAST and I didn't realize how bad it sucked until I got the ATACR with the MIL-C. The MIL-C is so much better I find the MIL-C a lot easier to read and gauge where I need to be. IMO I don't see what else one could want in a non Christmas Tree MIL based type reticle.

If and when they do decide to start doing the reticle swaps for the Mil-c, what kind of coin do they generally charge for such a service? Never had a reticle swapped before...

That is exactly what I like in a reticle. Simple vertical and horizontal delineations. The little upsideside down "T" delineated may or may not be more helpful, but it's out of the way of calling a shot when it lands. Very nice.

This is purely speculation, but I would think the answer would be yes especially if user feedback is positive on it which I think it will be.

Yeah, that is a nice looking reticle! Simple and clean. I'd be game for swapping the reticle in my 4-16 F1 for a mil-c. I agree with snarks about the fine center dots in reticles too. Definitely prefer them over the more traditional crossed style reticles.

Like the new reticle and I'm glad NF has provided shooters with an alternative to the Mil-R. With it's simple .2 mil vertical and horizontal holds the Mil-C is great. I'm just not a dot guy.

Also, sorry to get off track here, but to the OP, very nice looking set up! What caliber is your Tikka and who did the spiral fluting on the bolt?

The one in the pics above is a 308win I also have one in 6.5CM that I have in a Manners T4A. Long Rifles Incorporated (LRI) did the bolt fluting and I highly recommend them very quick turnaround less than two weeks back at my door from the time I dropped them at the post office and the fluting is perfect. https://www.longriflesinc.com/collec...bolt-fluting-1

See my post in the other MIL-C thread. I just got off the phone with NF. $600 for a reticle swap. It should be available for the 5-25 in the next month once the MIL-C has been available for six months. They are getting lots of requests for the reticle in the 4-16 and expect that to be offered at some point but no confirmation or ETA on that.
