My partner and best friend from the Sadr City deployment, Chris “Aaron” Nowiski had trouble coping with certain engagements we were involved in, particularly a firefight on the night of Oct. 1, 2007 where we lost a brother. He searched for relief in the wrong place and lost his life. His mother, who is very dear to me, started House of Hope in Sand Hills, NC. For every 640 thermal sold, I'll donate $100 to House of Hope. For every other thermal or I2 device, I'll donate $50.

Or, if you would rather, I will donate the same amount to Special Operations Wounded Warrior (GeoVario LLC - Web Access) I had the honor of being invited earlier this year to a SOWW hunt to let the wounded guys play with some night vision and thermal. It was a very humbling experience. There were double amputee's, an NSW guy who was shot in the face multiple times, and other guys with terrible injuries getting to kill some pigs with knives. The prerequisites are that you have to be active or former SOF, and wounded in action. I was offered the chance to be one of the hunters in the future but it wouldn't be right, these guys are so far above me in class that it is unreal. They have my ultimate respect.


So, I am a few days late in getting this sale going, but I'll extend it until June 10th. Video for the thermals will be up in the next couple days.

Let's kick it off with some smoking deals on thermal scopes and clip-on's. I worked some shenanigans to acquire these units in quantity to offer the best deal possible.

The Armasight Zeus is an awesome scope. It uses a high end OLED screen instead of the micro OLED, or LCD you see in some other units. You will notice that the lenses are larger than comparably priced units as well. I challenge anyone to put the Zeus next to a unit with the same core from another manufacturer and compare image quality. They are built in a rugged, shock proof, waterproof housing. The Apollo boasts the same features but is a clip on unit that can be used with most any day scope. In addition, it can be used as a standalone weapon sight.

If you want 30hz as apposed to 60, I can do a little better yet.

Many don't know this, but there are multiple grades of Pinnacle tubes. I will only sell image clean tubes. If you are spending that kind of money on a unit, you might as well get the best you can.


The Vulcan makes for an awesome gen 3 dedicated night vision scope. Rather than type out a breakdown on it, I'll leave this video here.

I do have a few Vulcan's available as demo units as well, that I have priced very attractively if anyone is interested. Two of the demo units have Pinnacle tubes with some pretty impressive numbers. The glass is amazing on this unit. Unfortunatly, ITT just raised the prices on Pinnacle tubes. I have/can get other tubes than listed, also at sale prices....just ask!

And, not to be left out, the Drone Pro 5x is also on sale. I just have a few, but I am blowing the price out to move them. If you are a "tech" kind of guy, the digital is a good option. With a good illuminator (and it comes with a good one) you get gen 2ish performance. $1,600.

That is a Zeus review by Karl Erickson. I met him last year and was humbled to be around him. Not a lot of guys can say the were in 5th SFG for almost two decades!

I only have one Vulcan 4.5x left. It has a pinnacle tube, 28.3 SNR, 64lp/mm, Halo 0.86, EBI 0.76, luminuous 1992. Great tube. $4325 takes her home.

But Chris' family is very special to me and has done an amazing job carrying the torch for all of us. Next month I'll do a different military charity. I have a few other items that need homes as well gents.
I have a whopping two clip on units left over from the sale that I got at a slight discount, and will thus keep the sale price on those.
They are Gen 2 HD CO-MR $1,995 SOLD and a gen 3 Bravo CO-MR for $3,250.
In addition, there are a few 4x and 6x PVS-12 Aquilla's that are dying to have a new home. They have tubes clear enough that you will swear you can see tomorrow with them. Both have A.R.M.S. mounts. $4250 if you pay with a method that does not charge me a fee...+3% if you use a card.

Is there a big noticeable difference between the 336 and 640? Im still feeling what's all out there. I do really like the armasight line. Just need to be pointed in the right direction to narrow it down.

From my limited use of 640 systems( I've only seen three 640 systems in person) Yes there is a noticeable difference between the 640 dropping down to the 336. That said a 336 still can do 80%-90% of what the 640 can do as far as shooting,range and detection. What you loose is image clarity lowering your ID range plus the 640 digital zoom works much better before pixeling out giving you more useable magification. Thats the simple a anwser others can maybe offer more info. I'm in the same boat looking to buy a new thermal scope and am hung up if I should buy a 640 model or save some cash and buy a simlar 336 model which should handle my task just fine. Its a hard decision in my case it's a 3000 grand price difference heck you could buy a new pvs-14 with extra $$$$ saved. From what I've seen a bigger lens is more important than 640 vs 336 performance wise .

I have a 640 and still use the 336 quite a bit. Here in the Ozarks you don't get shots in excess of 200 yards when you are actually hunting, so it does just fine and I am carrying around a little less money through the woods. It will mostly depend on how far you need to shoot something, and what it is you are shooting. I still have some great prices on thermals. They are right around the May sale price, and I'll still donate to either of the charities mentioned in the OP.
You are correct, it does look a lot better to the eye!

Some places I may be scanning for coyotes out to 600 yards. Would I be able to tell what it is that far with a 336? Or would I need more magnification than a 3?

You would need more lens, more resolution, and/or mor optical zoom to identify something a 600 yards with enough certainty to ger me to put my finger on the trigger. You can however watch their movements at that distance, lisemt for possible sounds, and get enough information with the 336 to,decide whether you should start closing the distance.

It's only available in 30Hz, but I have them for $8,195 with a free DVR or external battery pack.
30Hz will be plenty fast for any ground based hunting. It is highly likely that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between 30Hz and 60Hz while on foot.
