I laugh every time I see these pseudo-scientific discussions about Faraday cages.
Look, even disregarding the cost and weight of a whole-house cage, you can't break the laws of physics. And it's obvious that none of the crackpots dispensing advice here has actually built a Faraday cage, because nobody has mentioned this crucial fact:
A cage that's good enough to keep RF out will also -- obviously -- keep it in!
Did you know that every electronic device in your house is a tiny radio transmitter? It's true -- look closely at the labels or read the user's manuals and you'll see that they all comply with "FCC Part 15". That means they're "unintentional radio transmitters" and that in a normal environment their transmissions are too weak to interfere with television, AM/FM radio, etc.
But inside your Faraday cage isn't a normal environment. Those transmissions, unable to pass through the cage, are TRAPPED inside, where, through a process called "constructive interference", they build and build, getting stronger and stronger. It's easy to see that if left unchecked, the radiation will eventually become much stronger inside than outside.
What to do?
Fortunately, physics -- which caused this problem in the first place -- now comes to our rescue: The First Law of Thermodynamics says that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another. So we need to ABSORB the radio-frequency energy and CONVERT it to another, less harmful form of energy.
It turns out that devices to do this already exist, and they're surprisingly inexpensive and available. Buy a bunch, line your interior walls with them, and just as your car's brakes absorb kinetic energy and convert it to heat energy, they'll absorb the radio-frequency energy and convert it to sound energy. Note that sound energy is only "less harmful", not "harmless" -- but it's easy to protect yourself and your family from it; there's plenty of ear-protection information in other threads here.
Anyway, here's what a safe and sane, SCIENTIFIC energy-conversion installation looks like:
