This is a long process which is nowhere near its conclusion. They are currently playing the strategies of desperation, seizing any semblance of small success and trumpeting it as a harbinger of victory. These victories are, in a sense, gains made through cheating; and this is lost on only their own thralls. Any such victories are hollow indeed. They are only effigies to be paraded around come election time.
They think they can fool all of the people all of the time, but even with the antics of their tame judges and governors, it's an illusion driven through corruption. There's a lot of money changing hands, much from Bloomberg and Soros. It has to be turning up results somewhere, and I think this surge of improper activities is the evidence of that.
We, on the other hand, walk a tightrope. We need to concentrate on continuing to do what has worked, to curb against the missteps that can bring a fall.
That's why I urge us to stay the course. MAGA is on course, and any deflections are both small and temporary. The only force which can defeat us is we ourselves.
If I were to say "damn the torpedoes", I think we'd all get the truer sense of current events.
I think that in the sense of this topic, bold and outspoken defiance is clearly comforting to those who are insecure. I'm not, or at least I think I'm not, and therefore have no need to antagonize anyone. Trump won because the people turned as one and said "NO" to the Swamp; and in so doing became a juggernaut. The mass and momentum of that broad stroke was undeniable. That message was adequate all by itself.
The left is still bereft of any real message, all they can do is stall, resist, deflect. The thread hijackings we have seen here are simply a reflection of the same tactic, for whatever reasons, whether intentionally or unthinkingly, they serve the same purpose. I don't think our thread hijackers have any conscious affiliation with the left, but whatever their motivations, their actions divide us, and serve the left's purposes. I prefer to think of them as confused, or perhaps frivolous.
Maybe there's also something of the sense conveyed as whistling while passing a cemetery. There's no real threat, but the nervous tension is still present and gets vented.
When we posture and pose, we are simply telegraphing insecurity; when in fact, no such insecurity is justified. The only real threat is our own complacency. The task remains incomplete, and the Democrats are seizing on that and attempting to divide and conquer. Open defiance on our own simply betrays an insecurity that emboldens them. Our silence is a far more powerful response, revealing no chinks in the armor. Silence reflects confidence, and that evidence of confidence can be a powerful attractor to uncommitted voters.
But there's always that vocal few who chafe against the solidarity, and doing so, they do the Democrats work for them. The disputes we see here are music to the Democrats' ears, they see their divide and conquer efforts gaining traction. Valuable energy is squandered by the infighting.
I see not need for it, and count it as similar to a headwind, draining our energy for no genuine gain.
And finally, to the Democrats on this site, and I sincerely hope there are at least a few; it is my fervent belief that an informed Democrat is simply a Republican still undergoing their formative steps. It would describe me perfectly back in the 1970's. I became a family man with a child, saw the reality, and firmly believe anyone else can do the same thing. First we have nothing and favor the liberal approach, but once we own substantial property and have substantial responsibilities, we become conservative. It is a fact of political nature.
So now we've had our derailments and hijackings, our deflections, and even a little bit of fun. Perhaps now we might find a few on-topic issues to discuss further, and I've tried to do in this post.

It seems to me that as proponents of 2A, we should actually be getting out there and burning propellant.

I can understand impatience, and can also understand chafing leading to verbal outbursts. Such outburst are the tantrums of the impatient, thinking that the making of some noise is somehow an equivalent to action, and an indication of some sort of success. But such a success is as hollow as the feelgood gun control measures currently afoot.
When we get right down to it, what does all this defiance actually buy us?

I could give a damn either way about the tender sensibilities of the left, and whether or not they are feeling any offense. Their offense does us no real good.
There are lines not to be crossed, and their frustration is driving them inexorably to the crossing of the intolerable line which is the throw down moment. Silence drives them to act out more and more in order to solicit some sort of self defeating response on our part. I say, give them no response, no satisfaction; give them more silence, let them stew in their own juices.
They can talk, and they can enact toothless, unenforced, unenforceable regulations; like the NY SAFE Act that so many of the current initiatives are based upon. A SAFE Act which no local LE will enforce, which has managed in the years since its enactment to register maybe a whole 1% of those firearms whose registration are mandated, essentially the property of state employees who are simply trying to curry managerial favor, or maybe gain some job security. The people know these measures are just barely symbolic, have no real relevance, and are in practical terms wholly ignored, as they should be.
Soon, very soon, they will have exhausted the cosmetic steps, and will have nothing left to do but to to actually move on the gun owners.
The real line is when they actually come for the guns. What comes next; nobody needs to put into words, or needs to print on banners.
That's the moment I await. That's the real 'put your money where your mouth is' moment.
Any who seriously believe I'll be back at home watching it all on the tube are welcome to their fantasies. There is safety in numbers, and those numbers will be huge. I am here at home, typing these posts.
If I thought that standing on a street in Phoenix, 196 miles from here, while the politicians (what few there may be on a Saturday) who use entrances on the opposite side of the building, were even aware of my presence; yes, I'd be there. This entire subject was discussed at length on AZGO, Arizona Gun Owners, where I also post. There will be a good presence, mostly Phoenix area residents.
Those who are there already understand that they are being thoroughly photographed and identified by government operatives via facial recognition for future attention. When they come for the guns, they'll be knowing precisely where to go first. Reminiscent of communist state methodologies, it comes as no surprise that such tactics' employment here are both widespread and well recognized.
In these days when the memberships you own, the magazines you read, and the posts you leave on the internet can become permissible evidence for a prosecution; there can be such a thing as due caution.
I suspect this stuff could just as easily be a false flag operation, designed to get the opposition to expose itself, and that even when the assembly has been done, will have zero effect on politicians who leave work each day with the same closed minds they arrived with.
So futile gestures and street theater do not appeal to me; especially when one considers that with my current cardiopulmonary situation, 20 minutes on my feet is an entire day's allowance, and that prolonged solar exposure after a full series of radiotherapy is strictly forbidden by my Doctors. In such a light there are simply better ways for me to make my views known, sorta just precisely like what I'm doing at this particular moment.
But I also believe that you see value to this and encourage you to follow your own viewpoints wherever they lead. I honestly hope you are not unconsciously making their jobs easier for them in the process. There's more than one way to defur a feline.
Best fortune you and all your colleagues in Harrisburg and elsewhere on what may be one of the last days where this kind of demonstration of legal.

What shooting I can get out and do gets coverage here. It's never as much as I'd like, but at least I do it.
My range club is a 50 mile drive each way, and winds under 20PMH there only occur one or two days each week. But still, I get out there and shoot.
My health is also a factor. I tend to drive/ride several trips a month for VA medical care, with one trip averaging 160 miles round trip.
For folks coming from back East, the practical driving distances here in AZ can be a pretty large surprise. The shortest grocery trip involves a two+ hours drive.

Don't judge others by you inability or actions, mr high an mighty. I shoot 3-6 times a week during daylight a 2-3 times a week at night. Weather does not derail shooting plans at all, in fact the worst the better as any asshole can shoot in COC days. Plus we shoot lots of subs right in town or surrounding towns from a van or out the back of a service truck.

Primarily by working hard to earn money & then spending said money both on keeping those employed in the business of making & selling related items employed and funded. As well as giving fairly goodly amounts of money to organizations both in state and nationally that lobby for our rights as well as calling elected representatives and speaking with those hoping to be so & making clear that their support for the Second Amendment dictates both my contributions & my vote as well as the same for many others.
Middle alabama, and the stripes (gutted and washed) can go whole on the grill, the vegetarian sows beat Winn Dixie and u can strip the backstraps out of younger boars and soak in buttermilk, grill, and eat until you pop.

Yeah because giving your opinion online has really helped . Shooting is awesome and inspiring the next generation is need but I'm at a loss that people couldnt1 enmasse get off their asses and go to their state capitols . I'm pretty sure that if each state had five or six thousand people show up it would get someone's attention . But hell trying to keep firearms let alone Constitutional rights and Liberties is to hard and not near as fun as going shooting or typing on a keyboard .

Based on the outcome of some of the pics I have seen today most states are already lost. The turnout looks pretty dismal in most areas.
The custom shop built it. Not available otherwise. Lots of goodies in it.
The only downside is that the stock has a funny cutout on the right side. Some people tell me that a bolt closes on that side...i laughed
