Origin 'longevity' reviews

Hey all - now that the Origin has been out there for a while, I'd be interested in any feedback on it from a longevity/durability issue. I had one of the early BH's when it was still with AJ, and it had some materials issues of pins breaking. Anything like that still persisting? Would you buy yours again or go with something different for the same budget?

There’s quite a long Origin thread on here if you search. I can’t recall any of us having any issues to speak of with some of us having multiple samples of the action.

thousands of rounds over multiple years from multiple people that i know of including myself without issue

I’ve yet to have any issues and I’ve had mine since a week after they released them with thousands of dry fires and a pretty solid round count on it.

most of the commentary is barrels, or comparision in feature to other actions. I'm looking specifically for "after a year of use here's what I think..."

after a year they are smoother than brand new. and function just fine and the same as brand new

I had to essentially start over after I got the revised bolt body from them, but it’s shaping up to just as buttery smooth as the original and getting close to my TL3.

I’m not a seasoned shooter by any means but as a newer shooter, it’s reliable and easy to work with. To that point their customer service has been really supportive not just of their product it for a new shooter.

As others have said: thousand of rounds and 3 barrels with no issues. The bolt is showing wear marks on the finish but it’s purely cosmetic. Some my need to triggered timed but that a simple process or just send to Zermatt.

This is great to hear! Mine is going together next week. Wish there were more Proof prefits available but you guys keep buying them up! Actually ... that's a good sign as well.
