That's good, current set up feels weird after I bent the bolt handle stud trying to get a stuck round out of the chamberNot much. Nothing a good dry fire or range session would not fix.
Jeesus guy..... What does your chamber look like?
If you order today, 2-4 weeks. It's been anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks depending on where production sits on bolt heads and bolt bodies. What's the current lead time on orders right now? I'm interested in using an origin for a hunting rig build.
My Area419 knob and adaptor arrive today. Feels different working the action but I like it. I definitely have a more positive grip on it. Your thumbs always finds its way into the groove and that helps pushing the bolt forward.

I'm waiting patiently for the Long Action lefty to be released.....?
I really hope they don't make us wait for a shot show release .....
APR G2 would be closer to origin than a tenacityYeah unfortunately I'll end up buying a Defiance Tenacity by then if that's the case. I cant wait that long. I need that rifle for 3 hunting trips next fall and need time to load develop and practice.
Never had an issue with mine in the originAnyone use a Tipton bore guide? any issues with the mechanical ejector on the Origin or the TL3? thanks!
I actually just check shoulder set back again to just to be safe and I am about 2 thousandths set back.First thing I'd check is your headspace bump. If you're not setting your shoulders back too far and it is indeed your cocking piece or firing pin fall I would just send the action with trigger attached to @BigHorn / ZAI Team for them to check out
Did that as well.Take the bolt apart and check for debris or anything that may be holding shit up
Probably a good choice.Did that as well.
I wouldn't be to worried right now if my tl3 build was up and running. Just trying to finish up this years local matches up with a competitive score.
Maybe I'll just move my barrel over to the tl3 and use that and send my origin back to have them look it over.
I've been meaning to buy one lately. I might take you up on that offer.Probably a good choice.
If you need a spacer cause you have shouldered origin barrels lmk I'll send you one
Alright guys so I've been having issues with light primers strikes recently. Today I had 6 during a match.
I few of them would go off after a restrike. But all went off in another rifle so the primers are good but light dimples on the primer. I have about 1100 rounds on this action. So I dont think it would worn out. I checked the firing pin indicator on the back of the bolt shroud. It appears it doesn't that the firing pin doesn't stick as far back when the bolt is down compared to when the bolt is up.
Any recommendations to fixing this issue?
TL3 and Origin Firing pins are not interchangeable they are different lengths. You could also just pull your firing pin assembly out of your tl3 and use it in your origin
This happened to me. Read post 1397 of this thread.Alright guys so I've been having issues with light primers strikes recently. Today I had 6 during a match.

Well I followed the directions and added a more firing pin protrusion to the back of the bolt. I have another local match next weekend so well figure out if it work. Thanks again everyone and all the responses and support from the bighorn team!
Just shot it today and it worked perfect! How did it work out for you?
Right around .090"
Yep, that's about right. The TL3 will be between .040" and .045" when the bolt is open.@BigHorn / ZAI Team
The post above you mention the Origin's pin protrusion from the shroud?
If so, what would be the correct protrusion for the TL3 (open bolt)?
I have both actions. have not built/assembled the TL3 yet (no trigger attached yet but will be using a TT Diamond), but looking at pin protrusion, seems like the Origin has almost 2x as much.
Is this OK?
as i understand it the Origin and TL3 bolt are slightly different (Bolt heads are the same).
Thanks!
One of my three actions was kinda this way. The more I work it the better it gets. It wasn’t bad to begin with. Just splitting hairs.
Ray is a good guy, he’s helped me out quite a few timesI just got off the phone with @Zermatt Arms and I have to say their customer service is by far the best I’ve ever dealt with. Having an issue with my origin and Ray is taking care of it right away. Can’t ask for anything more than that. Great job!
