Peltor ear pro battery issues

My Peltors seem to be chewing through batteries like crazy. I've got Comtac 2's and ACH's and both of them eat a set of batteries in about 6 hours? I'm using name brand alkalines.

I've got comtacs, fairly new, and I must have 10 hours on them easy and they are still on the first set of batteries. 6hours seems way short for battery life.

My MSA/Sordins have probably 100 hours of shooting on them and I have not replaced them yet.

The Peltors I bought my wife, after 2 days of all day shooting, one side is already dead. Frustrating

Did you buy these from a reputable dealer or from a person or eBay?

Reason I ask, is that battery usage is indicative of AIRSOFT KNOCK OFF stuff. Depending on the model - real Peltors or Sordins ought to be running about 100 plus hours.



I am not saying yours are "Z-TACTICAL" knock - offs, but - that is an issue the airsofters have with their knock-off earpro I am told.

I am sure there is a youtube video or something to help you identify if your earpro is legit.

I did get them off of eBay. They came in what appeared to be Peltor packaging with the Peltor instruction manual. I've looked at the Z Tactical junk and they don't look anything like these. Could be an electronic problem. The issue is that in order to send them to Peltor for service, they require the original proof of purchase from a 3M dealer. Here are some pics. If they are fakes, they are damn good ones.

That stinks about the warranty work.
