Couple years ago i put a Horus Vision Predator scope on top of my Magnum Research Picuda long-range pistol for general long-range plinking and prairie dog/ground squirrel shooting. I absolutely love that reticle and setup for it's intended purpose. But it still costs $700 or so for one of the HV Predators. Wouldnt it be nice if some company could get together with HV (or some other entity) and come out with a tree reticle system to maybe 20-40 MOA similar to HV's. Offer it for maybe 300-500ish in a 3-9x, 4-12, and/or maybe a 6-18 for FAST TARGETING SOLUTIONS out to 200-300 yds. or so?
Seems like that'd be a seller for some screwballs like myself whose gazes are always set on the horizon. The 3-9x PFI Rapid Reticle comes close but like to see more models with higher magnification ranges for that occasional 150-200 yd. head-shot prairie dog, etc.
Be nice to give some of these optics companies a little nudge or two--maybe Simmons, Nikon, Bushnell's less expensive lines.
Any thoughts/comments?
