I did just pull the trigger on a Bergara B14 Wilderness Hunter in 6.5 creed as well. Hoping it’ll be as accurate as the Savage, but with a better bolt throw. We’ll see, I truly couldn’t be happier with how this rifle shoots despite being a little clunky.

Update on the Savage:
I won’t argue, the Savage is a shooter for sure, but that heavy bolt lift just makes shooting it not fun and I refuse to completely remove my hand from the stock to cycle the bolt for follow up shots. I sold the rifle last night a complete package for what I had into it.
Last week I ordered a Bergara B14 Wilderness in 6.5 creed as well as the following:
HS Precision stock
Mathew’s Fab adjustable creek riser
Nightforce base
Nightforce ultralight rings (first time spending $200 on rings)
SWFA 10x42 side parallax adj, mil/mil
Harris S-LM
Total: $1870 (a little more than the $930 I had into the Savage)
I think I’ll ultimately be a lot happier with this set-up. I’m ultimately just not a Savage guy, I’ve had 700’s, m70’s, and m77’s….I like that the Bergara is a 700 footprint with all the aftermarket support, but a little more refined in the fit/finish department. I cycled the same Bergara I ordered in a different caliber the other day and that action is so sexy smooth I knew that I had to ditch the Savage and go another route. Thanks to everyone for all the input! Everything should be her next week and I can’t wait to get the rifle set-up and zeroed before hunting season!
Decided to give one of these Arken scopes a try with how cheap they are. Figured if I didn't like it, it could get moved over to a rimfire or such. Gotta say though, my initial impressions have been pretty much like everyone else. It's impressive for its price.
I also tried shooting some AAC 175gr ammo along with some IMI 175gr. That AAC stuff is sketchy. Wish I had a chrono, because it seemed hot as all get out, and would give sometimes as much as 2 inch groups at 100. The IMI seemed to work well.

Man that ss 10x42m brings back memories from the late 90s early 2000. I used it on my personal bolt guns. I kinda miss those rifles.
This is my second one. If I’m not prepared to spend 2k+ on a Nightforce, this is really the only option in my mind. I value reliability and durability over glass quality. I considered the Nightforce SHV 4-14 F1 pretty hard and the SWFA HD 3-9….but at the end of the day I’m ultimately saving for a for a NXS 3.5-15 and the best way to make a rifle usable while saving is the SWFA 10x42.
This is going on a medium/long range hunting rifle. The 10x42 has always served me well in that use.
Strasser RS700 Short Action with Vision Pro chassis. Very impressed with this set up.
Is that a straight pull 700 action?
It has 4 lugs, and they will pop out in ok in place when bolt goes into battery.
Did you buy the barreled action or complete rifle ? I have been interested in buying this one but really like the looks of your chassis setup.
Barrel action, it is the 6.5 Creedmoor Long range configuration.
I also ordered several actions. Will build some rifles when they showed up.

Action is super slick.
We had few Strasser RS700 rifles on our booth this year at the Salzburg show. They are my only choice when it comes to a straight pull action. Also come with M5 aics mag systems. We ordered two barrelled actions that are supposed to arrive soon.
We were invited to a factory tour as well and it was impressive to see what products apart from rifles the company manufactures. Father/ Son company, both very nice to deal with.

I think I saw one in the Vision stories on insta the other day but it had a distressed style cerakote.
And last sunday they also teased a Tikka version of the Vision Pro chassis.
Can't wait to see some of them pop up here.
300 PRC I've been messing with. Bergara HMR in the OEM stock, hand painted and texture applied to mimic something nicer. Definitely feels grippier!

I wanted to get a McMillan, but I’m planning to hunt with this rifle this year, so couldn’t get one in time. I ended up scoring a good deal on a HS Precision PSV096 in tan with black webbing that was taken off a 700 VS. I had a CZ 527 Varmint with that stock years ago and it fit me well. I’ve got a Mathew’s Fab adjustable cheek riser for it that I’ll be installing tonight as well.
Got a smoking deal on an NX8 4-32 so now the T6 is back where it belongs on the AT.

Broke out the spade bit, jb weld and "red-neck"ognized the true potential of my kitchen table gunsmithin'.

Vision Pro Chassis
Fit and finish of this chassis is certainly top notch. Blows my MDT out of the water (still great chassis).

I have finally seen these in stock in Canada, but aside from the adjustability on the buttstock they look very similar to the ACC elite. Even priced 10% higher. What do you like more about the vision over the MDT?
The fit and finish is superior to the Elite. The top cover flows nicely with the lines of the chassis and doesn't appear to be an afterthought like the MDT. I personally like the grip better than the Elite and it comes with a functional bag rider, which MDT has not released yet 1+ years later. The folder is functional and locks up tight. Attention to detail is certainly the biggest attribute to the Vision (they include a torque spec sheet for every screw on the chassis and accessories).
Is it worth the extra $$$? For me, I like nice things and I'm willing to pay for it. For others, that's a choice for them to make.
With that said, I'm keeping a few Elites but have one for sale.
Good to know, thanks. A couple hundred dollars more isn't bad anyway in my opinion. I do like the adjustable bag rider on the vision also.
@NiteQwill I don´t get it why people moan about the ACC Elite Bag Rider. The only difference to the Vision or MPA one is that you can´t adjust the height on the MDT one. I´ve never felt that i need one that is adjustable and that i would benefited from it.
I´m just curious to know, because i feel that people constantly brag about the BagRider on the ACC Elite is Bad or whatever.

The issue is MDT doesn't have a bag rider at all out of the box, or an OEM version either. There are many aftermarket options but they all vary in dimensions. But, everyone has different needs of course.
I have all of the above. So, to me, refined small areas (like a bag rider) is important to me. At the end of the day, I shoot a Foundation, MDT, Manners, etc. all the same. I doubt it will be any different with the Vision Pro.
