Crying shame FN stopped producing the SPR - they're still a extremely capable, helluva rifle to this day..

My first gen, and still the most accurate factory SPR (that's why I never rebarreled it). It was a police trade in somewhere in NC. I have no idea on the round count, but I paid $1,600 to include the ca. 2000 Mk4 on it in 2016.

On a chance, I loaded two 5-round groups before hunting season a few years ago with the 165gr Nosler BT. 43.0gr Varget shot all 5 into .419". I've never messed with the load, and it has never let me down. Bonus is that the 165 NBT load tracks perfectly with the 168gr M3 turret to 400 yards.

Sometimes we just get lucky. This SPR is why I bought my other two in 2018 and 2019.

Thanks! The blue is FX Liberty clear (sprayed uneven for fade effect) over Graphite Black. The grey/silver is tungsten with some slight Titanium fades. And of course the black in the stock is Manners Carbon fiber; I just cannot cover it all so I work it into the pattern.

Used and LRI DMP stencils cut and modified to change the look a bit.

Last month I dropped off my old 1993 Ruger M77 MK-II All-Weather Stainless 7mm RemMag, and my 2000 Ruger M77 MK-II All-Weather Stainless 7mm-08 Mountain Rifle, to the gunsmith...

I've had the 2000 model 7mm-08 since brand new (Christmas present from my dad), and I picked up the 1993 7mm RemMag in 2002 when I worked at the gun store that someone traded-in. Over the years, swapping scopes was extremely limiting due to the stupid proprietary Ruger rings that are impressively shitty.

So, I finally decided to hell with it, and bought some EGW pic rails and had my smith drill & tap the receivers for 8-40 holes, and install the rails. I had him polish, hone, and stone the triggers and lighten them up and smooth them out...They turned out WAY better than I expected factory M77 triggers could be, based on how heavy and clunky they were from the factory. The barrels didn't have enough diameter to thread them 5/8-24 and have enough shoulder for running my cans... So, I had him thread the very thin barrels to 1/2-28, and custom make a couple of 416r stainless adapters (from an old barrel he had laying around) that he bored & threaded the inside and permanently-attached to the barrels. Then, once the steel epoxy fully-cured, he put them back in the lathe, zero'd it out off the bore, and cut the shoulders and threaded them 5/8-24, and cleaned up the muzzle ends to look seamless and nearly factory. He did a great job on everything. Here's how they turned out.

1993 Ruger M77 MK-II AW-SS 24" 7mm RM w/ Zeiss Conquest V4 6-24x50 ZMOA-1 w/ EGW 20MOA base, Seekins rings.

2000 Ruger M77 MK-II AW-SS Mountain Rifle 20" 7mm-08 Rem w/ Kahles Helia KX 3.5-10x50 4D-Dot w/ EGW 0 MOA base, and TPS rings.

As much as I appreciate the quality of a higher end rifle, I have been extremely please with my budget Howa build. The barreled actions were too cheap to not try one out, and I needed a bolt gun to complete my FDE/tan collection anyways. So below is my Howa1500 in .308 in a KRG bravo, atlas V8, Arken EPL4 4-16, and deadair Nomad L. Later after this pic was taken I added the KRG tool-less length of pull and front spigot mount for the bipod. The targets are 6 shots each (because I like even numbers) at 100, and you can see the point of impact shift from using the deadair brake VS adding the suppressor.

The USMC pair . 1903 A1 rebarreled in 1942 at the Philadelphia navy yard for sniping . The scope is a 1941 Unertl Varmint optic . The USMC Unertl was not introduced to later in 1942 . The other is an M40A6 . The action is a PWS Quantico build . I bought it in a cadex chassis but bought the Remington RACS chassis from Euro optic . The scope is an S&B 4-16x .

She is a 2003 Landrover Defender 130 TD5 engine (5 cyl 2.5 l direct injection.) 5 speed manual & low box. No EGR, no DPF, no ABS, not much electronics. You get spares for every single part of the vehicle. I sprayed the roof Duracoat Tac Black.

Yesterday in the Kerry hills letting some visitors take a few shots with my 308 out to 600m.
I fired two rounds at a rock at 1200m with the new stock on my light weight 6.5 CM 20" barrel, both rounds hit. Wind dialled for 7mph. Furthest I ever shot that rifle.

Not 100% sure about Ireland specifically, but it's pretty much only USA that have strict regulations for suppressors.
It's considered basic health and safety gear in most of Europe.

Yes we can, as a firearms dealer I can also build my own and have done so in the past. I have a feeling our suppressor are somewhat cheaper than in the US. Not often one comes across a hunter without suppressor in the meantime in Ireland. One does need to provide a reason for using one, something like shooting foxes in a horse field etc.

Oh, no doubt it will handle distance.
It is a Sauer 100 and is extremely accurate.
Maybe with the right loads it could be a 1000 yd gun, but I just haven't pushed it past 400 or so.

Brought my new Canuck build out for the first time on Sunday.
I'm happy with the results thus far.

I will be loading up 15 rounds each of the 38.5gr and the 39.4gr.
The 38.5gr came in at 2710fps and the 39.4 came in at 2751fps
The 40.6gr were too hot at 2848fps.
I will also be loading up 10 rounds of the 39.7gr where I pulled the last shot.

New video is up comparing my Otter Creek Labs Hydrogen-S 7.62 and my Hydrogen-S 6.5mm suppressors on my 16" @christensenarms MPR 6mm ARC. Both cans are identical other than bore diameter.

The 6.5mm can is noticeably quieter in person, and you can tell it slightly in the video if you turn it up. Both cans sound amazing on the little 6mm ARC cartridge.

More bullshit got in the way, so I wasn’t able to go to the range…AGAIN! This time it was medical. Anyway, no excuse not to go next weekend, so I’ll be going next weekend weather-permitting.

Thanks. Those were from initial load development. Believe it or not, that barrel needed zero break-in. That's shots number 9-12, and 13-16 ever down the bore...4 shots to zero the scope, and 4 shots from the first group, then those 2 groups. The only mods I've done to the rifle before shooting it were threading the barrel, threading the bolt handle, swapping in a TriggerTech Primary and tuning it down to 1.5 lbs. and retorquing the action screws to 65 in-lbs. Other than that, that rifle is brand new and 100% factory action, barrel, and stock.

I traded a junk Weatherby MK-V AccuMark .257 Wby back to the dealer I bought it from after Weatherby screwed me and refused to replace the factory defective barrel on it, and traded straight-up, paid $100 bill for the taxes on the 5R, and walked away with a brand new rifle. I had no interest in a .300WM, as I have plenty of other .30 calibers, and I'm mostly a 7mm guy, so it sat new and unfired in the safe for over a decade. When I was finally getting all my other rifles threaded by my smith, I had him thread this one, and the bolt handle at the same time just for the hell of it. Glad I did now, as it's quite a shooter.

So, now that I know how she shoots, I'll be doing some proper (serious) load development on it with some brand new Norma .300WM brass that I bought a long long time ago, and left sitting in the factory cardboard boxes. This go around I'll be using Nosler 210 RDF's, Norma brass, 7828 SSC, and CCI 250 primers, seated 0.010" off the lands, which still fits in the factory magazine box (surprisingly).

My 300wm Remmy went on a diet, had a proof carbon barrel fitted. Zero and chrono yesterday. I will run her like this for a while until the barrel has a few more shots through. Wind was 10-11 o'clock and rocking the bench so the Landy was stationed close as a wind breaker.

Went and sighted in, and shot the old Rugers after their updates from the gunsmith... The results turned out REALLY well...And WAY better than I could have ever expected.

Shooting the 1993 M77 MKII AW/SS 7mm RemMag with some Nosler 160 AB's, IMR 7828 SSC, Win brass, and CCI 250 primers showed some magic in that old barrel... I was running my Otter Creek Labs Hydrogen-L (pictured) on the end. People asking about the OCL cans being "precision rifle cans"... The answer is yes, they are.
