Very sexy..
I love the sling setup. Seen similar once before and it really makes the rifle balance well when carried on the shoulder.

Re: precision rifles... show em

That is one of 12 that went out Thursday. Agency still has old SimRads but wants to be ready to transition to UNS/MUNS, thus the redundant NV mounts.

TAB Sling, Surgeon Action,.308Win. 21" custom contour Krieger 1-11", Leu 3.5-10 LR/T M1, TAB Sling, SureFire flash hider/adapter, KMW Gen II bolt handle, TAB Sling, Two tone Mirage CeraKote, Harris SBRM with some kind of swivel locking kit added, TAB Sling.

Here are 5 of them going out to the bench for function and group test

That's pretty funny.

Re: precision rifles... show em

It really is not a straight cylinder, but it is roughly MTU/Hvy Varmint taper just before the EFR. They basically have the step down to go through the EFR with some clearance, continue to reduce taper and then are stepped down again for the SureFire and AAC Blackout suppressor adapters. My blanks are delivered to my spec for these jobs and are almost perfect on the necessary O.D.s prior to me chucking them in the lathe.

Costs me extra for the blanks but results are less machine time for me and no chance of me inducing any stress in the barrel during my machining. This gives me an option for the customers wanting a heavier rifle. I use this special contour and the Krieger #14 Hvy Palma on all these type rifles. The #14 is still plenty stiff but goes through the EFR without modification and is the lighter weight choice.

I do not bed under the barrel on the Surgeon actions. Used to but not in the last couple of years.

I think it is a TAB Sling

To keep with the rifle pr0n theme.

Thanks for the scoop Terry.
I thought you might be making a "hella stiff" barrel by bedding that larger diameter like the aluminium bedding blocks seen on the 1K yard BR rifles.

Then he'd have to float the action!

I too found a great chuckle in the PodLok comment.....

Reach out and touch someone you love, lol

How well does that suppressor (I'm guessing AAC?) work on a BIG Bore? is it worth the investment? pros/cons?

Re: precision rifles... show em

I love it so far, but it's only got two range days on it and no real training yet. I have a feeling it's going to be perfect for what I do.

Currently it's just been zeroed and run some 100 yard drills. Also banging steel at 200. This next week I hope to be able to take it out and do some UNK distance shooting out to 1000 yards.

Re: precision rifles... show em

This is still the internet - so you really can relax, nutz. Let him enjoy his life and stop trying to be such a wet blanket. I personally have shot a .26" group in a bone stock savage 10fp using cheap Remington hunting ammo. I don't need anyone here to tell me what I saw, and neither does SIT or cypress.

Now here's my custom Remmy in 243 Ackley Improved, with the predecessor to Nightforce, a 12-42X LightForce sitting on top of it in Kelbly BR rings. This is my LR varmint rig in a MCM BR stock. Barrel is a Pac Nor straight taper and flush with the action(1.35 is it?), shilen lug, custom 4" brake I used before I got my suppressor, Jewel trigger set at 6oz.

I would tell you about the tiny little 25 shot groups it makes, but I have a feeling someone is gonna start bitching like a woman about verifying that, too.

Rem 700 SPS-V .308
Manners T4A Pillar and skim bedded
CDI Bottom Metal
GAP Bolt release
Huber two-stage Trigger
IOR SH 3-18x42 Scope

I'm happy with it. Working on my next build on a BO M2008 action, it'll probably be a .243 or 6.5 of some flavor.
