20" Bartlein 1:8. Light Palma contour.
Templar action. Huber trigger
Steiner 3-15x50 MSR CW

Had this gun for a year or so with the original black stock I ordered with the gun. Looked like shit to me so I just had the stock dipped in ATACS. Now I like it!

Who did the dip coating for your rifle? I too am an ATACS AU fan myself.

guess that is the problem with looking up gun porn in the wee hours of the morning. Thanks. I have been looking for someone who does an ATACS that gets the coatings more tan than green. I know they have the newer FG pattern but the ATACS I have seems to come out more green.

this is probably a stupid question but what is hydrodip and how does it compare to cerakote

Hydrodip or water transfer is film that is applied to various mediums. It is set on top of water in a tank then a sprayed on activator is applied to film. The product is dipped into film and submerged in the tank.

Cerakote is sprayed on much like paint

Just put this together:
700 AAC-SD
Bell & Carlson M40 stock
Vortex viper HS-T 4-16x44
Badger 20 MOA base
Seekins low rings
AAC non-mount blackout flash hider

On first impression, I'm really liking the Viper HS-T for the money. Hitting the range on Friday for some load development...

I finally ended up finishing the paint job on the new XLR chassis on my Remington 700. I used Rustoleums Camo line with Black, brown, green and khaki, using Pine needles for stencils. Then clearcoated it with 3 coats of Matte clear. It turned out great! I love the contrast of it, and the select pieces I left black. but where they meet, the stock is dark enough in those areas, that it doesn't look so contrast, but instead.. looks like I planned it.... which, yeah... I did... right?

This started out as a simple Remington 700 SPS Tactical in .308. It now sits in an XLR Industries Carbon Chassis, holding an AI 10 round magazine, has an oversized bolt knob, with a bedded TPS one piece steel base, and lapped TPS steel rings, securing a Vortex 6-24X50 FFP scope.
I haven't got to shoot it yet with the new chassis since I'm out of powder right now, but might have to spring for some factory ammo soon. Next up is a better trigger and Bipod. I'm thinking maybe Timney or Jewel, and an Atlas.
I also think I might have to spring for an Ace folding stock mechanism since the cleaning rod scrapes the butt plate as it is now.

Enjoy!

Thought I would add to the mix. Wish I could have taken better pics. All weapons and other unnecessary toys were purchased from hide members or hide vendors. Excellent place to spend your children's inheritance. Gonna try to post several times, says only five thumbnails per post, hope that's not against the rules.

Had to go through several combinations of scope and mounts to get it to my comfort zone. Now how long it will take to shoot it's potential.
