My latest project is finally all done. I built this rifle with the idea of PRS type matches. Here are the specs:
6.5 creedmoor and built by Phoenix Custom Rifles
Defiance Deviant action
Bartlein barrel 1-8 twist M24 contour, fluted by Bartlein
APA little bastard muzzle brake
Timney trigger
Badger bottom metal
Manners T4A stock in midnight camo
Harris bipod with pod lock
Triad tactical sniper skid plate
American Rifle Company 34mm rings
Bushnell XRS 4.5-30 FFP H59 reticle

I am taking it out this thur for barrel break in and load development. I think it looks pretty but hopefully it shoots well. Thanks for looking.

Best Regards,
Oscar

Here's one just arrived, G series 700 action, trued B/printed etc.
Built by GAC rifles here in Italy. Only thing on it not 'right' is the barrel, it's a Border not a Schneider but spec'd the same.
S&B 3-12 with Gen II ret + 30 moa steel rail, clip slotted correctly.

Hello everyone

Been lurking here for a wee while, and as the last part of my first build has arrived I thought it opportune to contribute to this thread:

Tikka T3 Tactical with 20" barrel 1 in 11" twist
.308 WIN
Vortex RAZOR HD 5-20 with EBR3 reticle (did order the EBR2B but guess that was too much to expect here in Europe)
Vortex 1" 35mm rings (46mm height over bore, that is 1.81" for you Anglo-Saxons :) ) prolly can't get it any lower than that.
Vortex level (this was in the RZR kit together with the sunshade and killflash insert)
Roedale precision RCSII FDE chassis
Roedale precision Muzzle brake
Atlas Bipod
some odds and ends

currently set up for a OCW test, 175gr SMK with RAMTAC, using Lapua cases

What color is the barreled action? It's bronze-ish, I love it!

Its not 100% complete , just 2 things I need to do to it ,
1) drop it into a A2 McMillan stock , green/gray swirl
2 ) have the extractor blued

Build has taken quite a few years , as I had trouble getting the parts for her , and as I am a stubborn B#@$ard , as I held out for all original parts etc , and thats real hard as they have not been made for 25yrs + .

Cheers Chris

Some better quality pictures of my newest rifle.

Actually I think you mean MY RIFLE!!!! I was fighting myself not to buy this thing and stick to my plan to get what I was saving for. Now that I've picked up what I wanted, I'm ready to get this bad boy again, so go ahead and shoot it a couple times then send over my way, I'll pm you all my info ;-)

Oh by the way, I'll take it for half of what you paid for it since it caused me all kinds of nightmares and sleepless nights when I seen that it got sold. I started drinking, smoking, and going to strip clubs to ease the pain ;-)

Nice grab, I love this thing!!!!!

What caliber is that new AR30A1? What MOA are you getting out of it?

It's available in 300 WinMag & 338 Lapua, mine is 300 since that is the caliber that I'm used to and I have the dies and components for reloading. As far as figuring out what MOA it shoots, I haven't gotten that far yet. It's only made a few trips to the range. First trip was trying to get it zero'ed @ 100 on paper but found the scope I bought was defective. It did make one hole at 100 with a 5 shot group, but it was almost 5" high and the scope was bottomed out. Bought the Premier that's on it now and zero'ed it at 100, then at 200 and it is basically a 1 hole shooter at either range. The gun is much more accurate than I am. My problem is getting to the range without drinking half a pot of coffee, 2 Mountain Dews and a half pack of cigs. Once I get there the reticle is doing figure 8's and I just get out the 22 and plink.

It certainly has been a sweet rifle to go out and shoot. Shoots just about any type of match ammo incredibly, wish I had a press or knew somebody with one to try out the load that was worked up for it by the previous owner.

But, despite what I just said about enjoying it, it might be up for sale sometime this year. Depends on how my newer rifle shoots. As fun as it is to have multiple rifles, I just can't justify it when one or the other just ends up sitting in the safe.

Well here is mine. It came from Savage's custom shop because I'm cheap and a southpaw. First left hand gun of any sort that I have ever owned or shot for that matter. Its a model 10 FCP-SR. LH bolt right side port. Chambered in a 260 rem. 26" barrel threaded. Target Accutrigger. I don't do as good as work as Savage but I did add some mods. to the new stick like adjustable butt pad, cheek rest, Ross brake, Seekins rings, Warne 20 MOA rail, Razor 5-20 mil/mil, Riflecraft sling, Atlas bipod . Accurate-mags with the backing plates removed. The stick is a shooter.

Just brought this baby home yesterday. My Remington 700 AAC-SD, trued, PTG bolt fitted, Krieger fluted barrel in 6.5 Creedmoor, NF 20 MOA rail with a Bushnell ERS in FDE, all sitting in an XLR stock. Still has the stock trigger in it, but it's been tuned as well as it can be until I can upgrade the trigger.

HMNwFypl.jpg

Unfortunately, by the time the last little modifications were made and it was ready to go out the door, the day was over. I was really hoping to spend Veteran's Day breaking it in, but I'd forgotten to order bore brushes and a cleaning rod long enough to even work on this barrel.
