That's easily one of the nicest rifles I've seen on the hide.
Congrats.

Here's my plinking toy. Self built AR using Stag receivers, DPMS M16 BCG, Jard 3# single stage adjustable trigger, CMMG 18" 1-8 barrel and a Mk4 4.5-14x50 TMR in a Larue mount. It loves my handloads with 69gr MatchKings. I'm thinking I need a bolt gun, this one is too much fun to pull the trigger on and before I know it I'm out of ammo.
Here,s my new toy.
Its a surgeon xl, in 338 lapua magnum. the barrel is a border archer, at 30" and a modular A-tec moderator, fully bedded into an A5. A quick coat of gunkote, because i just HAD to shoot it. It will get the full duracoat cammo when i get a minute.
I gave it a baptism of fire, and shot 5 rounds straight down it. It put them all inside 3/4" at 100 yards.
i love it.
Later in the day, as we went up the charge weights towards maximum load, it printed a 1/4" as a finale.
Unfortunatly, this was with the lapua lock base fmj, which doesn,t have a great long range reputation, so i,m gonna try some scenars.
After 987 days and a stressful 340 kilometers drive to Pete, I finally got my Roedale! The trip back was not a walk in the park, but the rifle is reward enough.
A complete review will follow as I get my scope (pictures shows a "placehodler", same model, though)
After many iterations, here is my GAP 308 with its current scope. I am staying with the S&B because it is a 5-25 and the glass is amazing and I LOVE the P4F reticle.
Not to be a hijacker, but I missed your post before hydro556 about that S&B. How do you compare it to your USOs? I figure it's pretty amazing, just wondering if it's much of an improvement from the USOs.
To my eye, the Premier, USO and S&B are all awesome optically. I cant say one is superior to any of the others. It is a matter of features. All 3 awesome optics.
I am getting ready to try and have a 6.5 of some sort built and I think it will wear a 5-25 USO.
FN SPR A1a, CDI bottom metal, Rifle Basix trigger, Seekins rings, USO SN3 Tpal, SAS direct mount brake (should have can paperwork back in a month or so), BO bolt knob. Bottom metal and bedding done by wnroscoe.
Here is a picture of my rigs. The TRG42 is 300WM and is topped with a 5.5-22x56 zero stop MRAD scope. The AICS is a Rem700 SA in .308. BO base and rings will be in tomorrow. Still deciding on a scope for that setup.
Here is my work-in-progress. Still deciding on what/how I want to coat everything. I've been practicing with Krylon but I think I'm going to invest in a more durable finish. I just got the target action a few weeks ago and the barrel shortly after that. Nearly everything was bought used and pieced together. Skim bedded the action/stock last weekend. Barreled in 7mm-08, I've been slowly working on a RL15 and 150 Sierra Match King load. Target is from earlier in the week.
Parts include:
Savage Target Action with DBM,
Douglas 7mm-08 barrel,
SSS muzzle break and bolt handle,
Harris Bi-pod,
HS stock,
Deadnutz mount,
Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50mm Mildot.
Here is my first attempt at a precision bolt gun. I'd like to put a nicer optic on it when my account recovers:
I finished it last week and got to shoot it for the first time yesterday. I did some break-in, and then shot some steel. We were hitting a 6x6 plate at 400 yards with every shot. I hope to shoot for groups next time I get out.

Ok I am new to Snipers Hide and I apologize in advance. I am having trouble finding things using the search so here it goes. I see small "bean bag" type rear rests used in a lot of hide photos and was wondering who makes them and where can I get one? Your help would be much apreciated.
