Hey all I think everybody has been so busy this month it's been crazy I can't wait for the weekend.

We are working hard to bring a great match, healthy prize table and lots of cash up for grabs. Lot's of people here have helped so much to make this a success.
All details on the cash prizes will be presented Saturday, but lets just say... anyone there has a chance to win alot of money if they shoot great.
We have <span style="font-style: italic">about </span><span style="font-weight: bold">$25,000 cash money</span> to give away to both points winners and match winners (if I don't have too many more expenses). Prize table order will be based upon Finale match placement.

Also, we've been working to the last minute getting ya'll some bad ass custom made trophies that should last several generations.

Has anybody seen a required gear list? I changed my scope last night and am in the process of loading ammo. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, but what the heck, I work for Uncle Sam and he keeps me busy. I look forward to seeing all of you.

Moots, have faith in your rifle!

Bolt Rifle (6mm to 30cal) with a speed limit of 3150 FPS.
200 rounds for the entire match.
Hearing protection, Eye Protection
Tools to run your gun and optics.
Pack small snacks since there will not be a lunch break. We will supply liquids on all ranges.
Note taking gear. (Attention to detail will earn you points)
Some sort of pack to carry all your equipment/gear in.

Note: If your rifle has a brake on it you MUST provide some type of debris control while shooting on a line. Bring a mat or piece of carpet to put down in front of your rifle. Failure to do so may cost you points.

Prayers out to Shannon Kay and his family. Especially to his little girl. He was putting a clinic on for the rest of us the first half of the day when he got a call his baby was admitted in the hospital. It looks like pneumonia. In true great dad fashion, he immediately purchased a flight and flew home to be there for his family.

I want to take this opportunity to thank Rich Emmons for all the effort and hours that he put into making this first year of the PRS a very successful one. Without Rich, the PRS would have remained an idea kicked about in a truck on the way to Oklahoma. Rich took the original thought and ran with it to create the PRS which culminated with the awesome finale event that took place this weekend at Rifles Only. In addition, I want to acknowledge the effort also put forth on all the behind the scenes work by Lauren Clayton. She put in a great deal of unpaid hours to make this first year what it was.

The finale was one heck of a great match. Mixing up 60 of the top tactical shooters with the outstanding job done by Jacob, Lisa, Lindy and all the RO's created one of the best and most challenging matches that I have attended. I feel honored that you all let this old boy play along.

Rick Reeves mentioned after the match that he had met several new friends competing in the PRS this year. I concur 100%. I traveled this year from the FL peninsula to the West Coast, and was always greeted by a great bunch of shooters. I look forward to the weekend of hanging with everyone as much as shooting the matches.

Finally, I want to thank the sponsors. The prize table at the finale was beyond comprehension for a match so late in the year, We were able to let all the competitors and the RO's walk the table twice!

I look forward to the 2013 Precision Rifle Series!

Hey guys, I've been slammed at work trying to get a few things done. I wanted to take a few seconds and again thank ALL the PRS members that signed up in 2012. I hope you feel like the PRS made a positive impact on the sport. We have seen a half dozen or more new high quality matches pop up all over the country that will most definitely be the birthing grounds for new shooters and future champions.

I'd like to especially thank the PRS committee team ( Shannon, George, Kevin, Wade, Dustin also Vu and Scott and Bob) without out their knowledge, wisdom and insight it wouldn't have been possible.

Thank you to ALL the match directors and R.O.'s who helped make it a success, again not possible to play this game without the people who make it happen. Thank you Jacob, Lisa and Rifles Only Crew who volunteered their time to put on the best show we could ever ask for.

For anyone who is thinking about shooting this sport, I want to encourage you to come shoot with us, It's alot fun to be a part of this exciting shooting game. And at the end of the day, it's not about the points, It's not what you shoot, It's who you shoot with. We have the absolute best people in the world as competitors and friends. Thank you all for your generosity and friendship this year.

I would like to thank Rich for all the thankless, countless hours he has spent working on the PRS this year. Your's and Lauren's hard work is so greatly appreciated. It has been an awesome experience to be a part of the PRS and I know it will only get bigger and better in the future.

The PRS Finale was an awesome match! Jacob, Lisa, and the whole Rifles Only Crew did an amazing job putting on a very challenging and fun match. The open concept in terms of stage order and squading was terrific. It was great to be able to shoot stages in the order I wanted to and also be able to shoot with the people I wanted to shoot with. Great idea...but it took Pros to pull it off, and the RO staff did a tremendous job!

The prize table was sick! Even at 16th place I still took home a $1000 check and another $300 or so dollars worth of gear! Thank you to all the sponsors that donated and supported this match.

I would also like to thank all the friends, who are now like family, that I have met at matches throughout the year. The people in this shooting community are truly what make it special.

Congrats to everyone who made the Finale this year. Especially the top shooters. Congratulations to Wade, Jeff, and Chase for finishing the year on top.

I look forward to PRS 2013, maybe I'll shoot better next year!

Some folks might be interested, amused, or maybe bored, by some descriptions of the stages of fire that Jacob, Lindy, and Lisa designed to test the competitors. You know laying down prone and shooting all day wasn't going to happen. To get things rolling, and because this one stuck out in my mind, here is one:

700, 800, 900, 1,000 yards
From the top deck of the tower with wind from 5 to 15 miles per hour gusting and fish-tailing, shoot over / off the top of the handrail in a modified standing position. Not positive on the target size but I believe the 1,000 yard target was a larue shape somewhere around 14" x 10". Each distance was its own stage with all stages run consecutively, 5 rounds at each target with a 30 second prep time and I think it was a 30 or 45 second shoot time....its all a blur, hard to remember.
