new to reloading for the 6mmbr case and noticed sinclaires selling primer pocket uniformers for this case that cut deeper [2 thou] than the standard uniformer.I have never heard/read about this,do i need this or can i use my standard uniformer. It would also mean resetting my priming tool for the different depth of cut which would be a pain.any info would be appreciated

I just use Lapua brass and have never had an issue with seating primers and always maintain sub MOA groups usually .3MOA, 90 grain Lapua bullets give best groups in my 1 in 10 twist.

I've shot enough of them to tell u don't waste time with pockets or flashhole deburrer if ur using lapua. A standard small rifle uniformer won't reach the bottom on 6 br. Pretty much the same result as trying a uniformer on case that is already uniformed. What weight of bullet u plan on running?

I have a 260, 7saum, 20 Vartarg, and my favorite is the 6BR. I just got a Eliseo 6BR built
by Jon Beanland Monday. I have shot a single shot for 8 years and it is stupid
accurate, easy to load, great barrel life. I don't do anything to the Lapua brass
other than anneal every 3rd firing. I am on the original brass I got 8 years ago.
Some have 30 reloads. 105 Berger vld jammed .010 with some Varget is the
ticket. I am gunna try the hybrids in the Eliseo. Do It!

I've had best results with 105 hybrids jumping.008"-.010" over 29-29.8 gr h4895. Usually runs 2850-2920. I never had much luck with varget with light or heavy bullets, but i seem to be the exception as quite a few to good with 30ish gr of varget. The 6 br cartridge guide on 6mmbr.com is a good primer for the cartridge, lots of info there.

thanks for the info guys, seems uniforming the 6br isnt critical. I still wonder if after multiple reloading the primer pocket wouldnt need some attention though?
6brshooter,i am loading a 105gr rebated boat tail using a berger jacket made locally here in nz.My load and jump identical to yours.
