I was doing some truing of my 22LR for NRL22 matches. I am using both Trasol(android version) and CB. I was looking at the wind info after I trued my drops at 100 and 200 yards (thankfully it was a calm day today). I have aero dynamic jump, spin drift and Coriolis turned off. On both apps if I put a 5mph 90 degree wind both solutions have me dialing left out to about 100 yards and then dialing right past 100. This seems counter intuitive to me since the wind is moving from right to left. Why do they provide these solutions?

Screenshots of trasol info if that helps

I've also noticed that wind directions given by my Kestrel 5700 Elite seem opposite of what I'd expect. For example, today I captured the wind coming from right to left, and the Kestrel's wind hold solution was to hold left. I don't understand that. I would have expected to hold right. This has happened more than just today. I have recalibrated the compass and still get these types of readings.

You might want to update to Trasol 2.0 (unless your stuck on the Android)

BTW Chair Gun, primarily used for PCPs and 22LR, will give drag models such as RA4 for 22LR.. I also find BalisticArc even with G1 Ok out to 100 -- All the NRL22 matches I've shot max out about 100

Unfortunately I am stuck on Android. What was odd to me was that Coldbore shows very similar trajectory. We have a local 22 match that has us shoot to 200 so was working on confirming drop when I saw the odd results. BallisticARC did not have the same odd results.

Ok, so now I did the same in 2.0 and CB - with no wind it looks kinda better but SD on 2.0 has a 1/10L by 100, but when I a 5mph 90 wind, everything is wrong.

What I did on my Voduu, was to shoot paper and record my dope. I zero’d at 25, it also seems to the same at 50, needed 1.7 at 100 then 200.

I did it super early before and detectable wind. I then when back to BallisticsARC and compared those points. It was maybe on 1/10 of at 50 but it looked good enough to use the profile.

From what you pointed out I would not use either CB or TRASOL for the rimfire.

FWIW, I've been running some rimfire numbers, low BC and MV starting with a zero at 5 yards...and CB did it right ALWAYS. So, I'm aware this may sound crazy, but certain numbers combination may produce odd results for some obscure reason not related to the package itself. I've witnessed the same odd results with many other sofware. I was told it boils down to some compiler issues, which are beyond my pay grade.

5 yard zero? That must make that far zero around 235 lol

Federal ultra match 22. That is the BC that matches my drop at 100 and 200. Haven't found any 22 that has a much higher BC listed online. BallisticARC lists the Fed at ,147/.149 (can't remember which off the top of my head)
