Suppressors QuietBore 22LR Titanium Suppressor Build Review -***Approved Form 1 Required***

Awesome. Thank you. I went to their website and blew right past the video. Operator error. I was looking at the .22 kit url and didn't bother to check the jig part by itself.

*edit* link to webpage with the video for others that were looking for it. http://www.quietbore.com/#!/22LR-Drill-Fixture/p/141694703/category=35722027

**edit #2* or just don't be retarded and go look at Padom's OP. in my defense when I open these threads it always jumped to the last post I looked at instead of the initial post so it was buried 3 pages back in the first post.

your reviews cost me money, Dom. I'm blocking you, this time.

Definitely starting this for my 22 can. Let me know if you go down the 9mm pistol route.

lolol...?‍♂️

Actually, I will be doing a review of their pistol kit next.....Just talked to QuietBore yesterday. Doing a 45/9 conversion can basically. Just like my Rugged Obsidian 45. WIll be testing it on both my 9mm and 45 AR's and pistols....Stay Tuned...Oh and get your credit card ready

Just going to run a 9mm end cap on a 45 can?

Not even...9mm piston to attach to my 9mm guns on 45 can.

Thats exactly what I do now with my Rugged Obsidian45. I have the 9mm end cap for it, but its actually as quiet with the 45 end cap and there are many reviews on the Obsidian45 that show that. I dont need a 9mm end cap but if they send me one I will test it with both as well..

Interesting. So 45 solvent trap and run 45 booster for 45, 9mm booster for 9’s

First pistol “solvent trap” so its new to me haha

So, when doing a Form 1, if you want QuietBore to engrave the markings on the tube before they send it to you, do you need to have the approval letter back to make sure you are approved before your serial number goes on a part?
Didn't see an answer to this. I'm curious as well. I'd like to have it all done at once so I don't have to hunt down a shop to do it. Since there is a bit of a back log I'd like to order as soon as I am able.

Since you make it up anyways, put on there what you will put on the Form1.

Anyone able to confirm what the 556/30 solvent trap is rated to? The way I interpret the description is that it is has threads capable of attaching to other rifles such as 300win. No confirmation or suggestion that it is actually rated for a 300win.

Just roll your own prints. Submit 3 Form 1's... you'll get 3 fingerprint barcode cover letters emailed to you, one for each form 1 submitted... roll 6 print cards, put then in the envelope with the 3 fingerprint cover letters and mail the whole package off to WV... easy

I did 2 form 1 at the same time, I mailed 2 cover letters with one set of finger prints and both got signed off. If you do 3 cans at once, all 3 cover letters on the same package, should be able to get by with one pair of prints.

Yesterday was a productive day.
I placed an order for the QuietBore 9mm trap and booster as well as submitted the efile form 1. Very excited to have finally stopped dragging my feet and taken the plunge.
My question is; I listed myself as the manufacturer and that caused a cautionary message to come up since they could not verify the manufacturer. I’m guessing this is normal but any idea of how much of a delay this causes?

No, you are supposed to hit the button next to use manufacturer code (it defaults to manufacturer name) then put in FMI which will them prefil the info in for manufacturing a can on a Form 1...... It then unlocks the menu to select model, caliber, etc.

Here's what it should look like when manufacturing something from scratch on a Form 1

Thank you sir. I probably described that wrong. I did get that screen and input the details for the suppressor. The alert message that popped up at the end was at the point when the submit button was pressed.

I got a beginner question. I'm confused about the pistol boosters available on the QuietBore site. There is one with and without the AAC Adapter. What is the difference? I want to put it on a 9mm pistol with 1/2 x 28 threads.

Without is for people that already own one. That's all. If you dont own any, you need the one with it

Thanks @padom. Anyone have opinions between getting a 9mm vs 45cal trap? Right now, I only have 9mm pistols and a PCC. I was thinking about a 9mm can, but then thought, why not get a 45cal for the possibility of getting a larger cal weapon in the future. Any down sides?

Also, is the 45 cal trap rated for 300blk?

I run a Rugged Obsidian 45 on all my pistols, 9 and 45 PCC. Super quiet.

I have the QuietBore 45 kit on the way which I will be reviewing on 9mm and 45 pistols and 9mm and 45 PCC.

Just efiled my form 1. And the wait begins. Still no email with my cover letter...don't know if filing on a Sunday would make any difference for that.

My email took a few days to show up with my print letter. Once it has been submitted, you can go back into your efile forms and the cover letter should be there as well. I received an email that had one attachment and then another email a few days later that had two attachment.

Thanks. I know padom mentioned he got all of his pretty quickly. Seems to be a mixed bag.
