I've always used charge masters. But I've read where it is great for throwing ball powders. For those of you who have one ... Do you think it's a quality powder thrower. I got it really to speed up 2000 mr loading (ball powder ) but will double check on my digital scales. Tips and advice would be great appreciated. I guess you could say I'm a digital nerd ... AS

The BR3 is a very capable measure. Even with fine grained stick powder. It's precision would amaze most people.

I love my BR3! I predominately load Varget and never have a problem with it.

If you're looking for ar loading, the BR30 would fit the bill perfectly. The 3BR is a universal, pistol-rifle jobber.

Well miles. I've already got it. And the only reason i did get the br3 is it goes up to 100 grains and I'm a .300 win mag junkie. I need that 100 grain capability. I just wanted something that would load for every rifle I got. 78 grains is probably the most ill ever throw and the br30 wouldn't accommodate that.

When your setting up for your powder charge, about how many times does it take throwing to get it right? And then how accurate is it say + or _ .1 grain. I guess what I'm trying to say is once set... Is its consistency in throws a) ok b) good c) really good

I've only used mine to load Varget for .223 and .308 but since my sessions are sometimes a couple of weeks apart I fine tune the thrower each time by confirming with the digital scale. Changes between sessions are probably caused by my lack of technique and consistency over the span of several weeks. I've found that that by establishing a known rhythm and starting values for each session results in an accuracy within +/- .1 grain with many of them being right on the target value as confirmed by checking every 10-15 charges using the digital scale.
