Retumbo and temp stability

Was just wondering if anybody knows or has an idea how much velocity is affected by the change in seasons using retumbo. I use reloader 22 and the temp stability sucks. Reason I'm asking is I just loaded up 5 208 amaxs at 81.5 grains and 3.600 oal. Didn't realize I was so far over the book Max but had no op signs what so ever and shot a .348" group at 135 yards. Also stick is a 700 police .300 winmag with a 26" barrel. What kind of velocity if anyone cares to take s guess. Don't have my chrony with me. Thanks

I can't tell you much about the velocity question but in my .338LM Retumbo is practically flat from 0 to 100 F, within the expected SD for the load, 10fps.

Wow that is a lot of retumbo...I shoot both the 210 VLD and the 208 amax and 77.7 was a much as I could give it..VLD was 2973 confirmed out to 1000 yards...

I know! I still can't believe I didn't have any over pressure. Especially looking at your #'s. Going to to have drop about 2 grains.... Just for my barrels sake

All of my 208s are MOLY COATED and 81.5grns of Retumbo is my pet load. I went all the way to 82.5(way compressed) but didn't lose any velocity when I bumped it back a grain. I never had any pressure signs and it was temp stable as far as I could tell. 26" bbl 700 XCR Tactical was giving me 3050fps(through a Gemtech Sandstorm). BE CAREFUL AND DON'T ASSUME THIS LOAD WILL WORK FOR YOU. The only reason I have so much powder packed into the case is the MOLY COATING.
