Rimfire Rifle Photos Thread

The scope has been replaced with a 10X Super Sniper but that SS is going to get replaced soon as well, in fact this whole rifle will be different by next week.

Which 452 model is that, and which stock? It looks great. I'm thinking about building up lefty 452 American myself.

Hey thank ya sir!! It's a cz 452 American, it originally had the walnut stock.

The stock is a Boyd's 452 lefty pro varmint, with the adjustable comb option. For some strange I couldn't pull up the options on my browser so I ended up just phoning in the order.

Rolled with DIP parts and I love this little fella!!

Wow, that's almost exactly what I'm considering building next. Your post is totally motivational! I love my CZs.

This is my righty 452 Varmint in .17hmr:

8eezvPo.jpg

It has:

-YoDave trigger kit (actually pre-YoDave, but the same thing)
-elgordo bolt handle
-DIP trigger guard, extended mag release, and scope rail
-gunskins.com stock wrap (kind of a compromise. I wanted to protect the wood.)
-Bushnell ET6245FG

Other than that it's basically stock and shoots great. I really wish I'd started with a lefty gun though.

Nice!!!!! I gotta get one of those bolt handles!!!

Jelrod 40X conversion
-26" Krieger Rem Varmint barrel
-Tubb T7T
-Dan Armstrong welded a PT&G bolt handle on original bolt
-AIAX chassis and RRS plate
-March 3-24x52 Illum. FFP with FML-T1

Easily my favorite rifle I've ever owned or shot. I've shot Norma Tac-22 ammo which was decent but a tight fit in the chamber, and now I shoot Lapua Center-X. Went 9/10 then 10/10 at 200 yards on a 6" diameter round plate today shooting standing off the RRS TVC-33 with no bags or sling for support, which I was impressed with since it was the first time I've shot from a tripod. It's incredible how stable the TVC-33 with TA-3 leveling base really is, blew my expectations out of the water.

I wanted to build a little red hotrod 10-22. So I ordered all the stuff and when the Boyd's stock came in, it was more pink than red. So much for "Applejack" being as it looked in the pictures. Oh well, I decided to build this one for my wife and she loves it. Funny, it looks more red in the picture, but it's definitely pink.

Green Mountain 20" Stainless (Floating)
Ruger Action with TI bolt handle and spring (Bedded)
Ruger BX Trigger
Mueller 4.5-14 x 40 AO
Pike Arms rail and rings
Boyd's Blaster in Applejack
Harris Bipod with Lock

Just my Savage MKII FV-SR, bedded in a Boyds stock, Primary Arms 4x14x44 rgrid mil, weaver 6 screw tactical rings (going on a bigger gun soon). Really likes CCI standard velocity and I shoot Eley Edge in my local matches. Having trouble with light primer strikes. Can't figure out if it's worn out, spring is diety or what. I have tried TONS of different lots and brands and types of ammo. The trees across the field to the right are 365y away. I love wailing on a steel plate with mini mags out there. Love the time of flight. With subs 10 mils and change to 300, about 8 mils with mini mags. Lots of fun.

Mossberg 44B civilian model target rifle, they were manufactured from 1938 to 1941. It has the raised cheek stock with multiple quick release sling stud positions. This rifle is amazingly accurate shooting SK Standard Plus ammo.

How did you mount the scope on the 44?

When I got the rifle somebody had already drilled the top of the receiver for a mount. The mount that was on it didn't fit good at all so I found a Weaver mount that was close on the screw spacing and had almost the perfect contour where it mates to the receiver. It was a pain but after some screw hole mods and some half round bastard file work I got it mated up nice and solid. Funny thing is this receiver is drilled for the normal scope mount on the side but some body went to the trouble of drilling the top. I'm sure it was to keep the scope low, it's really nice to shoot this way so I don't mind.

Yeah, the side mount (Havlin) is way high. I'd love to set mine up like yours eventually. Mine is a sneaky little bastard with CB's. Any chance you have a part number on the Weaver rail?

I used P# 92A. I went to the local gun shop and looked for something close and decided on this one. I didn't do much homework on this, you might find one that fits the receiver perfectly and then you just have to drill and tap it.

My current 22rf offerings:

Mini rifle mode ( NB flashlight for indoor comps in the dark = much fun!)

Bunny rifle mode:

Mega arms upper/lower/forend, Benchmark 2 groove barrel, CMMG internals, Magpul trimmings, Milazzo-Krieger M-K II trigger, March 1-10x,

Bolt action:

Annie MPR, Harrel's barrel tuner, DIP 20moa rail, March 10-60 scope, quick coat of paint on the Annie stock - as it looked like a scaffold deal!

I debated for the longest time wether to go with an EFR for my Pinnacle tube co. For the price of the EFR I scored another optic, adapter, and some Warne qd rings for some good ole night plinking. Since she's on the .22 I figured the adapter will do fine.

Did Jonathan fit the Tubb trigger?

Sweet rig.
