No. No measurable difference. I only shoot it suppressed and with the 20" and can, it was a little too long for my liking. I did not have a chrono at the time I had it cut, but I imagine it is a little slower.
.22LR doesn't have all that much powder to burn. I believe long barrels actually make it slower. Some .22LR match rifles have shortish barrels, with a shroud to extend it, for balance and/or more distance to a front sight.

Been wanting to get into a full size 22 for a long time. Really don’t like the big dbm mags but if you want to play there will be concessions.
Came across this as new B&C stock with Greyboe bottom metal on eBay of all places for what amounted to 1/2 retail price. I jumped on it.
A&J supplied the B14R heavy barreled action.

First time out this morning shows promise.
Some 30yr old Tenex and some modern SK rifle match both went into about 3/8” at 50yds. A little too much wind for any 100yd evaluation.

This thing is gonna be fun….

What is your view on that B&C stock it looks like a nice stock.
Very surprised it didn’t require any adjustment other than opening up the barrel channel. Action fit is good. Only bedded the lug. The bottom metal inlet and depth are perfect. The comb hardware is a budget copy of Terry Cross stuff. It works but it’s just not as robust as the original. At around $500 new it’s not cheap but is a viable alternative if you can’t find a used McM or Manners. I wouldn’t hesitate to use another.
