Well I'm torn on the issue. First, and last, I'm glad Boyd's offer the Tacticool.
If it were not for the price tag I would be trying to make do with the sporter stock.
However I was hugely disappointed it was not their classic lamination style stock. In my humble opinion Laminated wood stocks are the best of both worlds: the warmth of wood and the stability if synthetics.
The Tacticool stock is two blocks of PINE glued together, then milled into a stock. That SUCKS.
So if you can afford a REAL quality stock, get one. If you have to choose between a sporter and a Boyd's, get the Boyd's.
