Roundup

Surprisingly enough I have found that the hatred for Monsanto and all the vile folk that are destroying the food supply & poisoning the world is a great bridge between us and some of the hippie earth worshiper types...

They can't understand why you need all these guns and who you would use them on... You mention Monsanto as a vague chance possibility in an alternate reality.... next thing you know they would like some too...

It’s not like there is any value to living of the land, to knowing we’re your meat came from, or what it ate. It’s not like heirloom tomatoes or eggs taste any different from your back yard as the ones on Walmart shelfs.

You hit the major easy to spot ones right on the head. I'd add Carrots to the list as well.

If you go buy the cheapest store brand eggs and then compare them to someone who actually lets their chickens run around in the pasture all day the difference is amazing. Tomatoes and carrots also, go from bland to amazing.

My dogs are my meat inspection department, they can tell the difference between beef & chicken that is good and what is crap. They'll spit out the standard store brand ground "beef" but will chow down a pound or two in a go of pasture raised, organic, grass only fed freshly slaughtered beef.

You can get the good stuff if your local grocery store is in one of the richer areas, but you have to know which brands to get by trial and error and be prepared to pay about triple for the good stuff.

I think it's kind of an evil plan, make everyone sick & weak and poisoned, except the rich and well connected who can afford / know what to get.

I’m right there with ya. I feel it’s a plan. I know you quickly loose even logical thinking audiences when you sound to much like a conspiracy theory type though. I have to get myself “reaclimated” when I’m traveling and having to eat at mcD or fast food a lot. There’s a thought.. start a militant arm of greanpeace! Lol before the hippies cared about Monsanto I was reading (pre internet) about monsanto’s Terminator seeds project (gov funded) as well as their ties to gov money, agent orange, mustard gas, etc. they seem to make good money off of making others suffer. Then there’s the lawsuits I read about were wind blew seeds onto neibors property and the neighbor was accused of patent infringement and lost in court

Something to consider.
The standards of service and quality have been on a steady downward spiral for decades.
This would include food quality.
My hypothesis: Mom and Pop stores were/are laid to waste by Walmart.
Walmart doesn't give a flying fuck about anything but the bottom line.
Source goods and groceries from cheapest/less trustworthy locations possible.
The "rules" in these locations are lax to say the least.
Mom and Pop rely on quality and service as they live amongst their customer base.
The above examples are how to concentrate revenue opposed to how to deliver local quality.

I'll add to what was said above .
How about all the food coming in from all parts of the world?
It's a sad state of affairs when you can't even buy garlic from the states.
Read a can and see where it came from.
Read a bag of frozen seafood and see where it comes from.
China
Thailand
Cambodia
Vietnam
Farm raised seafood is disgusting and filthy.

Are you seeing a pattern,if we ever had to count on ourselves we'd be screwed.
One can only eat so much corn,so many beans and wheat.

I remember sorting car brake shoes, asbestos anyone?, when I started in the Auto Business back in the early '70's but am still here. And my Dad and neighbor both being around large commercial and military aircraft in the '40's when everything then was poisonous and is now a controlled dangerous chemical and cancerous but both lived till their '90's.

The solution to pollution is dilution. Think about that for a moment because it’s true in so many ways. Think about a sewer plant that water is supposed to be clean when it enters the river or streams.
