I have been looking for threads on a Savage 10 FCP-SR for range reports and personal thoughts on this rifle. So far they are few and far between.

Re: Savage 10 FCP-SR

The 10 fcp is a fine rifle. Assuming they manage to cut the threads well on it I would say it is good to go as any other model 10.

Dbm and barrel threading from the factory could be handy. Is the stock workable?

Cant quite tell, but it does not look to take the old style fcp (ie in the hs precision stock) magazines.

Re: Savage 10 FCP-SR

Does this one have the 5r rifling in it? I’ve got one that is similar to that, it just doesn’t use the AI mags and I’ve got the black accustock. With 175 smk’s and 44.0 grains of Varget it is consistently .75moa. I’ve gotten a couple of groups with it in the .5moa range. The only complaint I’ve got is that the trigger is HORRIBLE on it. I’ve got another accutrigger and I really like it, the one on this gun sucks though.

Re: Savage 10 FCP-SR

I've got the same stick with the 5R rifling...really enjoying the rifle. It's now sitting in a JPE chassis. Good suppressor host as well right out of the gate.

Re: Savage 10 FCP-SR

I have yet to fire this one.
@ Bravo your rig is awsome!
The glass on mine is from a company called counter sniper optics. this is the first one i have seen, so idk if they are any good or not.
@ savage yes it has the 5r rifling and acu-stock and trigger.

When i got this i was looking for a DPMS 308 24" fluted heavy, but no one had one in stock that i liked.I had the optin of this or a used R700 for more money. I picked this one cause it is still light enough to fire it without a bi-pod

You might consider doing a Google search for "snipershide countersniper"...

Re: Savage 10 FCP-SR

Just got my 10 FCP-SR today. I love Savage, there always trying to better themselves as a company and listen to the consumer unlike cough remmington who gets by on there good name and puts the same sh!t in a different wrapper. On a different note try a JP Tactical break large .925 thats what I put on mine.

Re: Savage 10 FCP-SR

Scoutsout, thanks for your input, always looking forward to hearing about peoples experiences with the same rifle. feel free to keep in touch with me with range reports and add-ons etc.... with your rifle

Re: Savage 10 FCP-SR

Tharival my add-ons are as follows: JP Tactical brake, Harris HBLM-S 9-13 bipod with podloc, 110 BA bolt handle, Millett TRS-1 and rings, and a Karsten cheek rest(not installed as of yet). Also, I'm going to take it over to Bruce Dow and have a match grade chamber reamer ran through it. Just getting started!

Congrats on the FCP SR & the muzzle break.
I just recently got one myself. I put a Vortex
PST Viper 6-24x50 FFP
Reckon I could get a look st your FCP SR with the muzzle break attached? Thx much.

Re: Savage 10 FCP-SR

I just got an FP-SR on monday, I plan on setting her up with a Viper PST 6-24 FFP when ANYONE manages to get them in stock. Ive already got a bell and carlson medalist varmint tactical on the way along with some reloading goodies so Im hoping that will hold me over until my optics and mounting parts come in stock.

The 10 fp-sr has a 22" threaded barrel and like others Im looking for a brake. I can honestly say I dont know crap about brakes so Im wondering if its even possible to get one that doesnt require fitting by a gunsmith. If so Id like to get one, but Im not opposed to shooting it the way it is for a while.
