This is my first post. Sorry if it has been talked about before or it is in the wrong spot. Let me know and I will correct it. Just bought the rifle, hate the stock, don't mind the trigger so much. Was wondering what stock will fit on my rifle, or how do I know? I have never upgraded a rifle before, as i have always just been a hunter, and easy to please. Figured i would make it look and function better, give me a hobby. Trigger upgrade eventually. Any help is appreciated. Would enjoy seeing pictures of similar rifles already upgraded. Thanks in advance.

The accu-stock is actually a decent stock, though not for everyone.

It depends on your budget as far as the stock goes. The biggest problem is dealing with the bolt release which they inexplicably moved to the trigger guard.

You have chosen an excellent cartridge and a very good rifle.

Check stockade stocks, call Kevin and talk to him about what you have and want.

Let me rephrase. The stock works great. I just hate the look of it, and because I went with savage instead of the Kimber I wanted (all anyone wants to chamber rifles for are 5.56 and 7.62) I decided to let myself do a little work to this one. Thank you for the link, seems pretty helpful. I was looking at choate, but i can't figure out which ones will work with my rifle. Thanks a lot for the quick response.

Far as I know I have not seen a replacement for the accu-stock. I had that exact gun and really enjoyed shooting that gun, but have to agree the stock was not easy on the eyes. It did seem to shoot really well though. Keep looking for a replacement and try to enjoy the accu-trigger I started to enjoy it after some getting use to it.

Run around on the site and see if they have the one you want... If you don't see what you want email them. They were very responsive to my huge amount of questions.

This one fits your action and is inlet for the CDI bottom metal

This one fits your action and will accept the factory bottom metal - I've got this one but in the left hand action for the same gun you have in left hand. The stock is pretty nice for the price. Still waiting for the rifle to arrive. I'll be posting reviews as I go.

I'm going through your same process. Let me know if you have any questions via PM.

I'm looking at doing a bit of upgrading to my 6.5 CM. Has anyone found replacement stocks other than Choate or Boyd's? I'd like something with a vertical grip or thumbhole.
