thought I would share -

schmidt bender PSR pics

first impressions - built like a tank, capped windage, locking elevation is nice, click/clunk adjustment on whole mil increments

horus 58 is nice , a little busy for my taste but easy to use, super fast

glass is crystal clear, parallax is so accurate you can use it for a raw range finder

when i talked to S&B, they say this is a production scope with three contracts specs added ( locking turret, ceramic tan coating, and grid reticle )

overall very nice scope

enjoy !

Re: Schmidt Bender PSR pics

Looks good George. Thanks for the pics.

Truckman, last I was told was end of this year.

Re: Schmidt Bender PSR pics

So besides the color/coating, the locking turrets and grid reticle. What's the difference between this new model and the current PMII 5-25? Glass is crystal clear, parallax is so accurate you can use it for a raw range finder, this is true on the current models...

Re: Schmidt Bender PSR pics

Nothing really Jeep. That's the joy of owning a S&B 5-25.

That's something I've been wanting forever!

What increments/parallax range does it have?

Thanks

Re: Schmidt Bender PSR pics

Parallax is in meters and increments are 10, 15, 20,30,50,100 200,300 500, 800 1000, infinity . My point is this is normal production optic for schmidt bender with three additions to meet the contract specs... the result nets them the contract , pretty good would say

Re: Schmidt Bender PSR pics

H2CMR also but in the production scope I am sure they will offer the P4F as it's their most popular reticle.

The P3 is a better reticle than the P4

Re: Schmidt Bender PSR pics

To each his own. That's why they make different reticles. I prefer a reticle I can more easily break down and use for holds than a standard mildot reticle. I like to make life easier on myslef where I can. Used a standard mildot for years when it was all that was available but moved on when I found a better option for me. Having the half mil marks and also the .2 mil marks in the outer edges of the P4F make it a more user friendly reticle in my opinion not to mention the larger amount of verticle hold.

That said, if the P3 is what you like then rock on with it.

Re: Schmidt Bender PSR pics

Each person has his/her preference for the reticle choice. I used mil dot in the past but found the p4f is better, IMHO. I am in he process of converting to just p4f reticle only.
