Hello everyone,

I’m working on a personal project: the development of an advanced ballistic calculator, not G based, the main feature is that anyone can build their own drag model, in few steps, without special equipment.

What I’m Looking For:
I’m seeking volunteers to act as alpha testers.
Your feedback will be invaluable in improving the application and making it as accurate and functional as possible.

Requirements for Volunteers:

-Experience with long-distance shooting and familiarity with ballistic calculators, in particular not G based.
-ELR experience is prefered.
-Wind read skills.
-minimum ability with android system
-Ability to provide detailed and constructive feedback.
-of course you need an android device! preferable with android 13, it should work on other release, but I've not time to do this test for now.

Timeline:
I expect it will take a few months to complete the project. After this period, I will ask you to use the calculator, provide detailed feedback, and report any bugs or issues.
I was a IT technician, but the company closed so now I'm looking for new job and in the meantime I'm working on this project.I can't promise that I will put it on the market(for now I can't afford to start a business), but it would be a dream that become realty.

Thank you very much for your time

Best regards

Would be nice and help a lot if you can develop on how this new software works. And what you meant by "without special equipment"...

It's not PM or MPM solver, so it doesn't relay on G1, G7 ecc models for calculations; It can be tailored to the user's bullet,
without special equipment".
I mean that there isn't need of doppler data, there is a protocol to follow, that basically consist in shoot and report in the app the difference between actual and calculated at 4 different distances( but if one not shoot in subsonic 1 is enough) , the app will do the proper changes . It change the drag model curve based on the observed data supplied.

hi I am very interested in volunteering as an alpha tester for your advanced ballistic calculator. I have extensive experience in long-distance shooting and am familiar with various ballistic calculators, including those that are not G-based. Additionally, I have experience working with Doppler radar for ballistic measurements, which I believe will be beneficial for providing detailed and constructive feedback.

You mean something like Gravity Ballistics or Piton-Bressant? More details would be interesing to have in order to correctly evalute it. Can you post some sample data?

No, I've used another approach.
Please don't take me wrong, I'll answer to all your questions about my engine, and I'll write a paper on how it work but only after I finished and tested it. Also I've seen that in general (with any type of software not only ballistics, but any apps), people tend to be influenced by knowing what append under the hood, so I'll prefer to do a sort of blind test. About how to use it I'll attached instructions to the Firebase distribution invitation that I'll send to testers when ready.

Looking forward to read your paper on the engine details. I'd say that most ELR shooters are not really "influenced" yet curious because there are so many apps all claiming being the best, that the market is over saturated to garner any interest over the already established apps, which are trued and tested to the point that having another player does not make any sense, unless the engine is really worth a look. You know, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Just my 2 cents.
