In process. almost done. Dad bought in 1980 and gave it to my son who has been helping with the restoration. 454 with TH400. Factory leaf spring truck. Did an axle flip with c-notch, and 3.5in drop spindles in the front. Truck was a factory AC truck. We have put in vintage AC.

That is along the same lines as what I would love to have. Any plans on replacing the lead springs with a 4 link?
The wife's daily driver, This is the replacement for her mini cooper s turbo. Both are fun drivers.
Not at this time. The next step after I get it on the road will be four wheel disc brake setup.

My daily driver....
Hauls large Costco loads, my Great Dane and Lab, as many rifles/pistols and ammo as I need for the range, is great fun on gravel roads and in the rain..... and most importantly puts a grin on my face every time I've driven it for 2 years now.

I’m building a Caterham in my garage. A lot of people building them. Mine uses 1” square tubing and the frame alone only weighs 120 pounds. It is 42” wide and about 30” tall without the roll bar.
I recently got the 2.3L Ford iron block back from the builder. I was going to use the same turbocharged setup as a Thunderbird Turbo Coupe but decided to be different.
The engine has special nitrous pistons in it. They are connected to the crank with Crower rods. The head is ported and polished with SS valves and LS beehive springs. Camshaft towers have had straps welded in place. The camshaft is a custom solid lifter roller with ~.540” lift, 242 duration and 108 lobe separation angles and will be run with an Esslibger adjustable, round tooth timing gear. It uses an Esslinger intake with a Holley Sniper fuel injection unit. MSD distributor will be connected to an MSD box and nitrous controller.
The engine is backed by a Ford C4 transmission. Stock torque converter. Aluminum driveshaft.
Rear end is from a 1998 Mustang. It uses G body brakes up front. Willwood full adjustable duel master cylinders.
Suspension is completely adjustable including the shocks. It uses a manual rack but I will probably use a electronic power steering unit from GM trucks with adjustable assist controller.
The builder estimated it would make 200-225 horsepower before the nitrous. I plan on shooting it with another ~150 horsepower. It doesn’t sound like a lot but it doesn’t need a lot. The completed car should be under 1,100 pounds with me sitting in it.
0-60 should be around 3 seconds without spray and close to 2 seconds with, if it hooks. 1/8 mile times are mid 6’s at over 100 mph without spray and low 5’s with spray at over 120 mph.
But this isn’t a drag car. I will use it for parking lot racing as well as going around the corners on some of the mountain roads in my area like the Dragon.

I always liked those trucks. Honestly, I like the OEM wheels better, but still a neat truck to have.
Love the Fox. I have an '88 GT 5-speed in pieces in my garage. Drove it in high school in the 90s and ive had it waiting for full resto/rebuild for the last 15 years now...
At this rate I'd just like to have it done in another 15 years for my son to drive!
They are only going up in value, and resto parts are becoming more available. I like seeing them restored with tasteful mods.
Mine is mostly stock with 53k on the odometer. The paint is all original. It has gears, suspension (springs, shocks, control arms, caster/camber plates), and some bolt on parts to help with airflow like a bigger mass air sensor and throttle body, and a new X pipe with high flow cats. Subframe connectors are next.
I have the OEM subframe out of that red and black pro street '69 Camaro in my garage. Close friend built the car for his brother in law. He recently passed and his daughter and son drove his '40 Ford pickup in the HOF East tour.

I spent a day replacing the rear brakes and running new brake lines to the back. So the brake system is completely new. The wife wanted to road trip to Somerset KY for the Summer Nights show. They shut down the downtown area one weekend a month. It's a pretty big show.
Anyway 25miles up the road a tire decided it was too old to be running 70 mph and blew out. A slight vibration and boom.
I changed it to the spare and figured it was an omen. So we turned back to the house and jumped on the bike and went to the show.

Glad nothing got hurt. I’ve seen tires come apart, and all sorts of stuff get mangled.
The chunk of tread that's missing flapped around inside the wheel well for a while before it came loose. From the sounds of it I figured it was beating the Hell out of the quarter panel. But there's no damage there and I don't think there's much of anything wrong inside the well.
So it's all good.

Age is what gets most of the tires for me too.

It now has a bout 30k miles on it but came fresh from the Army with around 19k. It needed lots of little repairs (mostly electrical wiring, dried out gaskets, etc) after sitting in a DRMO lot for years but was a strong runner.
This one is my "desert romper". 4WD and locked front/rear, its gotten me everywhere I tried to go. The only downside is the lack of air conditioning. When summer hits it has to park...like riding in a dutch oven anytime between May and October.

It's not much of a highway bike due to the 883 gearing but it rips from 0-100 MPH.

He also had these two that I was fortunate enough to track on a few occasions.
Track days with good friends are hard to beat.

Transmission is a Tremec Magnum XL
Brakes are PowerBrake Motorsports brakes
Suspension: MCS double remotes, WL Watts, and all the bushings were replace with spherical bearings
The car was set up by professional race care driver Eric Foss
I set the track record that weekend (for a race not TT) and went on to win the Texas Regional Championship for ST3

Well done, watching you're inputs and the chassis' it was pretty obvious it wasn't your first rodeo.
I can relate to that. Just picked up a 8295R. At least the tractors help you make money.
