    Rifles, guys. Rifles.

I always built my rifles with 26"+ barrels and left the short barrels to ARs. Well today I picked up a shorty and man do I freaking love this gun so I'll get this thread started with mine.

    - R700 SPS Tactical 223 1:9
    - Barrel docked to 16.5" and threaded 1/2x28
    - Grayboe stock with PTG bottom metal and accurate mag
    - Timney trigger (need to reset the weight, he had this set HEAVY!)
    - cerakoted
    - ADM mount with nightforce SHV 4-14 F1 MOA

Shot a 50gr load of Sierra Gamekings in 1/2" today. Looking forward to taking out some woodchucks and coyotes soon!

The only way I can own a barrel over 20" is if it goes into my SRS. lol One of these days, I will look into which cartridges perform well in 16" barrels and still give solid performance at range.

Thanks man. Had it out at 400 yards today but 8-10 mph winds so with an unknown load (some reloads off a buddy) it was a bit hard to land some shots but got a few on target. Hope to run it over the chrono tomorrow and get back out there.
