Shot Show 2020 Thread!!!

List of things I’m impressed with so far:

Ultimatum .22

Ultimatum tikka footprint/Remington trigger with OEM triggertech. Barreled action WITH trigger is $1k. Put it in a tikka bravo and you have a $1500 entry level rifle

Zco MPCT3. Way way way better looking in person.

Gap Production Rifle

Still need to make it to a lot of other booths. First stop in the morning is Hoplite.

Just wrapped up work on a chassis we've been trying to get to market the last couple years. Should be on display at the American Defense MFG and Criterion Barrels booths:

You can still buy it on their website and get in line. Then it’ll be like your birthday when it shows up.

On a list with mile high already. So soon as they get them in. They will call me asking for payment. Saves me money too. RRS directly charges me tax. Where Milehigh being out of state doesn’t charge me tax. And maybe. Just maybe they release something new worth waiting on. Lol

From their instagram, their BA was $1599, where did you hear it was $1k? I think it's 1K for the action only no trigger or barrel.

You’re confusing the .22 action and the tikka footprint action.

Two different actions. One Rimfire and other is centerfire.

Oh oops! I got weirdly excited that they released a Tikka T3 footprint in a Rimfire :p Then I could just re-use my MDT ACC... I don't know why their rimfire action has to be $1599 BA when their centerfire is $999...

Production costs. The Rimfire is more complicated and the barrels aren’t cheap.

The Rimfire barrel has user adjusted headspace and the firing pin protrusion is also adjustable.

6pm firing pin, 60 degree throw, might have to jump in while I wait for the next V22. After listening to MB and the podcasts, I will definitely join the V22 club...

Trijicon ventus (laser range finder with wind capability)

Meprolight Foresight

Thunderbeast dominus

Sig cross

POF Rebel

All cool stuff and at the very least, new to me.

Perhaps Sako will release a real effort into the .22 PSR world, the T1x fizzled before it even hit shelves. Beyond that since the TRG 22 A1 is $6k+, and the TRG M10 is $11k, if they bring out another TRG it will probably be $15k, $20k if you want a folding stock. So I'd agree show me something new in the hunting lineup, it at least has a chance to sell. Not going to hold my breath though, SHOT is the place to bring something out, get tons of free hype/exposure, and get orders. If it's not at SHOT it's probably something so boring they are hoping that people will pay attention more in February when nothing else is happening :)

the Sig Sauer P210 carry gun looks to be pretty cool.

It will be interesting to see how the market accepts it. I think it's just part of the usual "It's cheaper to modify our current products to another market segment" we see so often now.

Customers always fall into 4 slots when they see the P210.
1) came in looking for a nice traditional (wood grip) range gun, they like the grip/trigger, price doesn't scare them, they might buy. High speed guys though for the price are leaning toward things like the CZ TSO etc.
2) saw it, love the grip/trigger, price doesn't scare them, but they put it back as soon as they notice it's single stack
3) saw it, love the grip/trigger, see the price and single stack and can't put it back fast enough.
4) Sig fan boys, grips could be fresh dog poop, and it could shoot gum drops at 12fps and they'd buy 6 if Sig's marketing told them to

It's very hard to sell a single stack unless it's micro, or it has 1911 in its name. Sig bastardized so much of what the original P210 was, they should have double stack'd it, there's more than enough grip width for it.

I can’t imagine it will do well. It’s not like people have been clamoring for a gun with the size and weight of a duty pistol and the capacity of a subcompact, with no rail or optic mount. On the other hand, maybe if by some miracle people buy it, HK will decide for bring back the P7.

Leica's new stuff looks cool. Really interested in the 3200.com. Its ability to work with AB, the new Kester HUD or an Apple Watch seems to cover all the bases well. Would like to see it work with the Garmin watch as well.

Anyone seen a price(street or msrp) on the 3500.com? Hopefully maybe they worked out some of the hiccups with the Bluetooth from the 2800.com

I don't see why they even did a "P210 Carry" it looks like basically a P225-A1 with different grips.
I got the P225-A1 and it is a nice gun, but it's heavy and big for a single stack and so I don't carry it. The P365 gives you more for a lot less size and weight and the P229 gives you more for a bit more size.

What I really wish is that they did the full P210 target with the 6" barrel and even better trigger that they were rumored to have had in development.

But yes, for the size, go on already and make it a double stack.
