Shot Show 2020 Thread!!!

What I really wish is that they did the full P210 target with the 6" barrel and even better trigger that they were rumored to have had in development.

Absolutely, it should have been the next one after the 5" target, it's by far the most coveted recent (last 15 years) German P210 model. However it won't be the first or 10th thing Sig has done that didn't make sense, and as long as they keep getting Mil contracts I'm sure they don't care either :)

I agree with your point, but what scope are you using that is so limited even with a 20 moa rail? I get about the same results as you with the 0 moa rail on my basic Mark II BV and a Bushnell HDMR. At some point I may get an Alpha Tarac, as suggested above.

Its a Vortex 6-24 Diamondback Tactical … it has 65 MOA of elevation, but since a good bit of that is consumed just to get to 100 yards, it leaves me with about 32 MOA past the 100 yard zero.

Could be something is not lining up, but that's all the more reason why adjustable scope rings are the answer... just set it to what I need.

I didn't want to derail Frank's photo thread any further.

Anyone visiting the RRS booth, please post pictures of their bino mount. Preferably all sides, and showing the strap tightened and loosened using the release lever.....I NEED to know now, haha.

Didn't I see a thread about the TT 2 stage at the 2019 Shot show? Seems like it was 2 months out then, but I might not remember that right. Bunch of stuff I don't remember right these days.
Hoping TT’s AR-10 platform comes soon. Anybody get info? Thanks. I tried emailing week ago. Nothing heard yet busy probably.
They did have drop in 10 and 15s. He acted like they were available but I didn't ask specifically.

@earthquake which did you prefer better the manner TCS or arc XYLO and why?

I preferred the Xylo. It just oozed craftsmanship and quality, not that Manners doesn't, but something about it just seemed perfect. The amount of thought put into it is really amazing, from the knureled top edge of the side rail, to the built-in Area-419 Arcalock rail, to the ambidextrous built-in bubble level (it pops out either side so Lefty's aren't left out), to the Walnut grip (yes, wood, and it's really nice), to the super fast, easy adjustments of the LOP and cheekrest height, which are still rock-solid, precise and fast.

Integral interior front end weight kit, M-lock rail, rear weight kit etc, etc, etc. Oh, and it comes with a lug-lock too if you want to use it. The geometry of the receiver area has changed for better positive clamping to keep everything in line. It's really light weight too, so if you want to hunt with it, pop the weights out and go. Just all around badass and extremely well engineered. Kudos to Ted and crew!

Sorry this pic is crappy, it's a zoom of my original. You can see some of the weights in the chassis at top, and the grippy knurling on the rail edge. The chassis at bottom shows the Arcalock rail which isn't an attachment, but is machined into the chassis.

Any more pictures / info on the new Tikka footprint action?

I am surprised this hasn’t been talked about more honestly. You can get a CTR for the same price, seems like a no brainer if you’re planning to build out a factory gun. 3 lug, short throw, match/threaded barrel, TT trigger, 20moa base. Seems like a really good start, just throw in a stock or chasis and go.

Was gonna write some notes on it.

Probably the best deal on an entry level setup out there.

How's the Defacto action compare to a Tikka action? The Defacto isn't the Deadline and is priced accordingly so I'm curious what's missing compared to the deadline. We know factory Tikka CTR's can already shoot 1/2 moa, and have pretty smooth cycling, so I'm curious how the Defacto holds up.

To me it feels almost exactly like a tikka.

But, it comes with a triggertech OEM trigger and a 5r (if that matters) barrel. And I believe (I’ve talked to so many people the last two days I could be mis remembering) is cut for an AW magazine as well.

So, you get rem 700 trigger compatibility (means you can upgrade trigger at anytime) as well as AW mag compatible, with a decent barrel for $1k.

Add a $350 krg bravo, couple mags, arca rail, and a bipod and you have a badass, fully upgradable, competition and/or hunting ready rig for well under $2k before optics.

So, the Defacto is NOT a tikka ctr competior. It’s more in the Sniper’s Hide Rifle and other $1500-2k rifles.

As far as tikka, I’d say it would be more of a Tac A1 competitor than a CTR.

The feature set is really impressive! Big fan of the cone breach face barrel with the nut to adjust headspace. Out of all the new 22 long rifle stuff this will probably be where my money goes. I hope they change the scope base so that most 1 piece mounts can be used.

I like it very much overall.

However, I know when I buy a vudoo I can pretty much run any kind of lapua brand ammo and it will be more than fine to win a prs or nrl match.

With the duece, you’ll have to set headspace and firing pin protrusion.

So, for my purposes(nrl/prs style), my money likely still goes to vudoo just out of sheer convenience

I'm not sure I understand why being able to adjust the headspace and firing pin would be bad or inconvenient. I would think that just because you can doesn't mean you have to adjust those things. I never see having options as a negative. Unless I'm missing something?

Hahaha. That’s what I’m worried about. I had an AIAX chassis that I loved everything except the slick plastic grip. This new AISR chassis looks to have a rubber or at least textured grip.
Takes a AR style grip. So you can change it out. But yes it’s a ruber grip. Also talon makes. A grip tape for the AI Ax that’s cheap. And drastically improves the feel

Looks like it will be 24” with option for .223, 6 creed, 6.5 creed, 308 and later a magnum bolt available in 6.5prc, 300prc, 300wm, 300wsm and 7mm mag.

Do you know if it will have an integral recoil lug?

I agree.

The barreled action price is pretty good. However, I'm not really sold on either brand (Ultimatum and IBI). Both brands have their issues, Ultimatum with some weird design quirks and IBI with questionable quality.

I was really impressed with that action!
The bolt lift was easy, less than the RimX, and I liked the 60 degree better than I thought I would since I'm normally a 90 degree fan.

I'll give you a little advice....
You might not want to advertise how much you like dildos on the internet.
It's just too much information.

Flunked math too I see.

Might want to go back to school and take another shot at 4th grade. You might beat it this time.

I'm rooting for ya.
