They're website sucks and I don't see advertised accessories, but I'll call them tomorrow now that I know they might have them.

I sent them an e-mail, and I'll call tomorrow. Hopefully they can just drop one in the mail real quick and save me from harassing someone on Lewis to swing by for me lol...

Re: SHWW Group

Hey guys, I am looking for some quality glass.

I am stationed at fort lewis, and i picked up my rifle a few months ago and then decided to buy an engagement ring instead of a scope.

I was wondering if anyone had a nice scope that they dont use or maybe know of someone who is selling one. i'm looking to spend $700-$900. maybe a little more if it's appealing. i've been looking at the nightforce and leupold mark4 lines but i can't afford $1500+ right now.

any help or pointers would be helpful. thanks!

lots of good glass in that price range. You looking for FFP Mil/Mil? Illuminated?

Re: SHWW Group

Danny,

I have a brand new, in box, still wrapped in cellophane, leopold TMR, that I got from the Kettle Falls match in May. I believe it's the Mark 4 4.5-14x50 LR/T M1... I don't have anything to mount it on... and I prefer mil/mil... it's mil/moa knobs.

I could probably hook you up with a good deal on it... if you are interested.

Re: SHWW Group

Guys, what are you using for trimmers? I need one and want something that's precise and square. I just can't convince myself to buy a Giraud. I'd rather have precision over mass-quantity. I've heard good things about the LE Wilson but price seems too good to be true. I was also looking at the Redding 2400. I really like Redding quality but it's about $100 more than the Wilson. Any suggestions?

Re: SHWW Group

I did finally break down and buy a Giraud trimmer. It is simply amazing. I've done THOUSANDS of pieces of brass with excellent results. But I'm not trimming mine to benchrest standards. I'm full length resizing bulk brass and trimming to length.

Re: SHWW Group

I like my LE Wilson trimmer, have had it for a number of years. It's a great product, with great customer service. If your chamber is non standard you send them a couple cases and they'll cut a caseholder specific to your rifle/brass

Re: SHWW Group

Any news on another E-Burg, shoot? I will probably be heading back to Sunny Side for a few days to wrap up a project I started earlier, & would like to make a shooting trip out of it. Probably going to be in August when I'm ready to go.

When I was there 4th of July weekend the steel was still there. Let me know when you come over and I should be able to head up that way.

Re: SHWW Group

Guys I just recived mine and am very impressed.
These are much better quality than I expected. Very solid and well made, easily worth 20-30.00

We've discussed this, but for the record, I hope it is a bit more "carbine optimized" than past Findlay cup carbine stages. I was "carbine guy" this last Findlay cup, shooting a 16" AR with bipod and my bolt gun optic... I felt pretty much every stage (with the exception of the clay busting stage) would have been significantly easier with a .260/.308 bolt gun.

Closer, faster, less prone for carbine would make be a happy camper.

That said, I'm bringing my AR as I run it in carbine classes and such to this thing (14.5" w/ Aimpoint micro with plain old M193 style ammo)-- if it is all 2-3-400 yard shots, it'll be "interesting".

Re: SHWW Group

I got the Badger TRAMP for my Harris today and put it on... not good. It doesn't really clamp the rail and sits loose. Now I have to try and return it. Anyone know of a place locally that sells a LMT mount or something similar?
