Guys I am going to sell this rifle that i just put together as my ultimate lr steel/hunting rig. I am going to list it tomorrow but wanted to give you guys a look at it first.

Hey Guys, just wanted to let you know something pretty cool happened to some of our youth today.

As some of you know I am a youth pastor for Jubilee christian youth academy. It is primarily a youth camp for troubled and lost boys that need a new direction in life.

All of our boys have a chance to play sports with the local high school. Waitsburg-prescott. Well today we traveled over to the tacoma dome and had the awesome opportunity to kill a team to remain undefeated and claim the crown as State champions. It is pretty cool to see these young men finally accomplish something they have been working towards for a few months now.

See some of you guys next Saturday!!!

The JP trigger. I have had one for nearly 20 years, and it has worked flawlessly all that time. The second JP trigger was installed by DPMS when I bought my rifle, but they didn't install the JP spring kit. Technically, DPMS did install the JP trigger group, but it consisted of only the trigger and hammer. When I noticed that they put in a stock set of hammer/trigger springs, and I replaced them with the JP match springs, the trigger pull improved markedly.

I also have a 2 pound Jard trigger in one of my Grendels, and it also works without a hitch, but I prefer having a little take up on a gas gun. I guess it is just what I'm used to. The 2 pound Jard trigger comes in at about 2 pounds 6 ounces, so it is really light for a semi-auto rifle. But, like I said, it hasn't malfunctioned yet.

I sure wouldn't recommend the Jard trigger for anyone not really familiar at controlling light triggers. It would be really easy to think the rifle doubled when in fact, it was poor trigger control that resulted in pulling the trigger a second time, or not releasing the trigger properly.

Bottom line...JP trigger group with the JP spring kit.

Thanks for the info. I'm still torn between the JP, & the Guisele(sp?) But still don't have the $$ to do it yet anyway.

815 safety briefing
830 first rounds down range

If you are not signed in to a squad by 815 you will not be shooting so be on time!!! We have a long fun cof and don't have time for delays.

round count max 126, odds are you will be closer to around 105 but one stage has no maximum rds fired only max time so plan accordingly.

Yep. As of today I'm planning on heading over there fri, & will help set up, & hopefully get a little shooting in. I'll RO on sat. if TSI still needs another one. I'm bringing some 208 a max for someone, & would like to find someone who is heading near Gig Harbor to meet up with Unknown, & deliver some powder to him for me.
I'm doing the final group testing tomorrow to get a load ready for the DPMS, & I'll be bringing it, & my 300WM. I've been homebound since I got back from hunting, & haven't shot past 200yd for weeks!!!
I NEED to hear some steel RING!!!!!

Just finished load work up on the DPMS. It likes 44.1gr of H-4895 with Fed 210, & 155 A Max, in virgin WW brass. Shoots 7/16" group with 3 rnds @ 100 yd with the factory trigger. I'll get some dope on it on thurs.

Well true to my word enjoy guys i wont be releasing how much each shot will be worth but you will find out on saturday.

Location 1


Stage 1 KYL & Target Identification

Shooter will start from prone engage the hostage target with 5 rounds followed by 5 rounds fired into the know your limit target. Shooter will then switch to the target id stage and will shoot the 10 targets numbered 1-10 in order.

Round count 20 time is 2:30


Stage 2 Vehicle Cover

Shooter will start with rifle in hand on command shooter will enter the cab and fire 2 rounds from drivers side window. Shooters will then move and engage targets with 2 rds from underneath the tailgate, followed by 2 rds from on the tailgate. Shooter will then move into the truck bed and fire 2 rds from the truck bed, followed by 2 rds off the ladder racks.

Round Count 10 time is 3:00


Location 2


Stage 3 Doghouse

Shooter will start with rifle on top of the doghouse with bolt back/open mag inserted. When instructed shooter will enter doghouse pick a hole and engage the bank of 3 targets working left to right shooter will engage bank of targets from all 3 holes at which point you will then fire 3 rds from the top of the doghouse.

Round Count 12 time 2:15


Stage 4 Mixed Challenges

Shooter will start by engaging the know your limit rack; shooter will shoot one round at each target until he wants to stop. Any miss on the kyl rack will result in zero score; points will accumulate 1-5 for each plate hit (max of 15 points possible). Shooter will then engage 3 33% ipsc plates with one round ea. Next Shooter will engage long range target with 2 rounds.

Round Count 10 time 3:00

Location 3

Stage 5 Low Crawl

Shooter will start standing behind low crawl barricade, on go shooter will crawl underneath platform and shoot bank of 4 targets at roughly 610yds one round each left to right. Shooter will then back out of there position and shoot from sitting using the platform as a rest (body must be behind the platform) 4rds left to right. Lastly shooter will have to shoot from on top the platform 4rds left to right.

Round Count 12 time 3:00


Stage 6 Shoot from cover

Shooter will start with rifle on ground mag in bolt back. Shooter will fire from 6 positions. 2rds from each position left to right each time. You decided which order, RO will designate possible positions.

Round count 12 time 2:30


Location 4


Stage 7 Hit and Run

Shooter will start from the prone position and will engage target designated by RO, shooter must hit the target twice before moving on to the next location. After hits are made shooter will move across ravine and fire at designated target until 2 hits are made or 10 total rounds fired (max allowed) time 2:30


Stage 8 Acquire and Defend

On RO call shooter will move forward Acquire a shooting position to his liking from a designated area. From that position there will be 5 targets going up the hill side in a line vertically (distances from 300-700yds roughly). Shooter will engage the closest target first and must hit it twice before moving up the hill to the next target. Shooter must engage the targets from closest to farthest, and targets will increase in value as you move up the hill. Round count is unlimited but shooter may only have 10rds per mag and the time is 3:00

Round count no max time 3:00

I think I am going to host a match next summer. Probably early summer. What kind of dates would look best to you guys in the months in May or June?

Probably a smaller match. Maybe 15 MAX. I am not sure though. Just throwing out an idea. Rounds count would be about 100. If it was a two day match, 175 rounds.

It would be about 80% steel and 20% paper. Shots will be from 20 feet to 1000 yards. I might throw in an over the river 1580 yard shot!!! We'll see about that.

Location would be near the Tri-Cities.

Anyway, I am thinking about it, Just thought I would let you guys know I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is.

I know it would be good to get a idea of the crap Scott has to go through every time he puts on a match. It would help put things in perspective for me.

wow with that few guys you might want to just make it an invitational. may is kettle falls for me and june is the snipershide cup in utah so those months won't work for me sorry
