prison purse
I picked up a new sig mk25 yesterday after wantin one fer a bit. This thing fits my dick beaters like a glove. I gotta say I'm in love just a little bit. I took it to the range to break it in and check accuracy and its a hammer at 25, though I am a beast with a pistol anywhos. I am curious as to this unicorn turd razzle dazzle coating that is supposed to protect it from salt water for all the super ninja seals that use them so last night I poured a shot ton of salt in me toilet and have been soaking the gun since, even dropped a Duce on it, will post coating trials results later.

Any advice on a good holster fer it? Oh and droplegs are fer homos so no GHEY droplegs

Avoid Safariland for the newer Sig 226.

I have the 226 Enhanced and ordered a Safariland ALS that was meant for specifically that model and it didn't fit. Apparently, after a certain serial number range Sig changed the trigger-guard dimensions to where they will now not work with the holsters.

Why did you spend the extra for the MK25? I normally don't hide my Sig in the toilet, but you may be onto something here because I doubt anyone would look for it there.

You bet, they really are silent and well built. I went with the Silent Thunder Champion but the STX was second on the list. It seemed to me the draw would be easier with the open cut out. I don't have anything to compare it with so I can't say that it makes all that much difference. The leather helps add some squeeze so you can really lock it down if you want it secure or back off the tension for ease of draw.

TheGerman- I was actually shopping around for an m11a1 and found this one, looked at a couple standard 226's as well and figured what the hell, also what I had to trade was worth more than just a standard 226. Also decided I'd rather have the barrel length on the full 226 than on the m11a1 so I was happy. Point being I didn't really go shopping or thinking I wanted a mk25 but glad that's what I got.

Update- 2 days of soaking in a shit tank and all things good so far

I didn't realize the Bin Laden compound had gold toilet seat hardware. Your level of street cred among the SF community would increase tenfold if you strapped a pistol bayonet on that bitch. You need to re-evaluate your life if you aren't running a drop-leg holster for a gun with a barcode on it.

I see the market is catching up with the new Sigs with the 1913 rail. The only option I had for a Sig 220 combat was a custom Bladetech a few years ago.

Had a Garret Holster (Silent Thunder standard) for 4 years now carrying a steel Commander. My most comfortable conceal carry holster.

Buy extra belt loop pieces. Ive had one break.

Dont eat asparagus while doing your soak test.

I've tried the drop leg holster, but didnt like it. I end up needing to run it around my calf region. Otherwise the leg strap rubs on my man hammer, and tucking that down the other pants leg just feels weird. Its like putting your wallet in the other pocket. Anyone else have this issue?

HA!! I love the Hide. I mentioned something about the drop leg holster not working for me on another forum, and no one could relate. I'm glad I'm not the only one having issues with this "tactical stuff".

+1 for PerSecSolutions. Only a 2 month wait, and no attitude. I have several of theirs, and if you want Kydex these would be ideal.

The Nitron finish is Ionbond. It is fairly tough and if initially soaked in oil will provide a low friction surface that withstands use without lube a fair amount. However I would always recommend greasing the rails.
