Just another reason SiCo sucks these days. I used to like their stuff, but over the last number of years, I've come to the conclusion that they're no longer a top-tier manufacturer...They've now fallen to the 2nd rung as "just another TikTok can company" that's living on their legacy products. And they're not alone, I see lots of this stagnation in the gun industry over the last number of years...It's sad. They're more worried about making social media videos, and dressing like the stunt-doubles from Brokeback Mountain, than innovating new suppressors...Or so it seems from the outside looking in.

My wife has an Omega, I happen to think it's a great can. Nice size, decent weight, and good performance. Better yet it came with a free suppressor that can do double duty on pistols and rimfire.

Other companies might run $100-$200 off sales, but they don't have to entice customers by completely giving product away for free. The entrepreneurial side of my brain is screaming, "Red Flag!!! They're desperately trying to boost sales, and have a copious excess of product they need to jettison", but the consumer side is like, "Might not be the best stuff, but free shit is free shit." So trust me, I understand both mindsets. I'm not bitching, just pointing things out from my perspective. And their social media stuff is pretty cringeworthy (once again, personal opinion).
But they'll be alright, they just got a big cash-cow FedBoi contract a little while back, so they won't be going under anytime soon.

I personally don't mind waiting for a free suppressor, and I'm happy with the suppressors I do have from SiCo. I think the Omega is a pretty good general duty suppressor.
I also don't spend any time on social media, so how a company represents themselves on such platforms has little bearing on my perception of them.
If people can't be bothered to wait for a free suppressor, then take heed and buy one instead. Otherwise, it's a pretty good deal.
I don't hate them or their products, I just think that with so many new companies entering the game, with all this new technology being utilized, with all the Form1 guys creating some awesome new style baffles, and super-efficient cans, that SiCo is way behind the times, and really needs to do some more innovating. It seems they're fallen behind. They used to be one of the premier suppressor companies in the game, but over the last 5+ years, I feel they've kind of slipped a little bit.
Meh if I had to guess, they do the BOGO so they can get an infusion of interest free cash with no up front cost. Basically they buy the materials as they build against the BOGO demand and because everything is spoken for, cuts down on their risk. It's why preorders are retarded... Why should I give you free money up front ? Na chief

Sico is genius in that are able to do this not once but twice.... And because they are letting their customers shoulder that risk... They are in 0 hurry to get product out quickly... Why should they? They got free cash in the short term and as long as there is enough margin they are g2g
I'll agree that at least from a precision rifle standpoint, they could be doing more to push their products to the forefront.

I use several of their cans and couldn’t be happier. I don’t try to pretend their the best or more operator than another brand. They’ve worked well for me for 10+ years. I’ve had good CS interactions with them. My Radius works as advertised as well as the gas defeating charging handles I recently started using.

The firearms industry is getting ridiculous with this stuff.
It's one thing to take down payments to secure a place in line when custom work is commissioned through a master craftsman.
It's another thing altogether to collect payment and then push back delivery dates month after month for production run items. That's just piss poor management and it's become the norm. Get your shit together.

In my case I bought a SiCo 36M for $699 on a Black Friday deal and am getting a Sparrow for free. The 36M shipped in 2 weeks.
Had I spent $700 I would have got a .45 Cal suppressor free.
So it’s not like I invested and had to wait. Also, they were upfront about an “estimated” wait time but missed it by 2 months. Anymore that’s almost expected sadly enough.

I suppose my issue is more so following through with commitments. If I tell someone I'll have something wrapped up in two weeks it's getting done in two weeks. If I have to spend the night at the office to make that happen, it's on me and next time I quote longer so I don't have to pull an all nighter again.

There's profit baked into the package deal, otherwise the promotion wouldn't exist. You can get creative about throwing the word "free" around, but if we're being honest it's really just a bunch of bullshit semantics.

I wouldn't be surprised if the BOGO was to get enough cash going to stay on top of the .gov contact which has more margin baked into it to stay on schedule.

If the "free" item is subject to conditions, it's not free at all. Manufacturers set the MSRP and/or the selling price of an item. It's a made up number based on cost of goods sold and amortized overhead, plus the manufacturer's desired margin for profit.
You purchased two items for $700. You can allocate the total purchase price however you want between the two items... $350/$350, $500/$200, $600/$100 or $700 and "free." It doesn't matter. In reality, you purchased two suppressors at a discount from that made up MSRP number.
If I called up SiCo and asked for a free suppressor and they told me "sure, come by and pick it up," that would be free. They're making money off of this deal, otherwise they wouldn't be doing it. Nothing is free.
Sure, nothing is truly free if you want to get all philosophical about it. That goes for pretty much anything.
SiCo is not a non-profit organization, so obviously they are benefiting somehow. Whether it's extra eyes on their product, more product in the hands of consumers and thus potential content creation and reviews, a boost to revenue with a huge jump in suppressor sales, etc.
I'm not going to defend SiCo or their business practices. If you want a SiCo suppressor and don't mind waiting, it's a good deal for the consumer. If you don't want their products and/or can't stand the wait, then look elsewhere.

What I will never understand about this industry is why they continue to promote delivery time frames that cannot be met. If I were in the business, I would double or triple my best case scenario delivery estimate. So state up front it will take up to a year to get your free can, for example. No one will complain if it arrives early. Let the consumer decide if they can wait or want to wait. But then again, I don't have a business degree from Harvard so I could be full of shit

If you can't keep up with demand then stop taking orders and suggesting unrealistic lead times. Either way you're selling everything you can produce. If you want to raise prices to increase margins and lower demand, that's fine too. Whatever floats your boat.
Taking someone's money with an eight week lead time, then shipping whenever the hell it's convenient is just poor business management. I don't understand how this is even worthy of discussion..... This isn't something that requires a post graduate education from an ivy league university to comprehend.
