Who else is waiting on a Serial number. So much for 6 months (June). Another fiasco, you would have thought they would have learned.

Other companies might run $100-$200 off sales, but they don't have to entice customers by completely giving product away for free. The entrepreneurial side of my brain is screaming, "Red Flag!!! They're desperately trying to boost sales, and have a copious excess of product they need to jettison", but the consumer side is like, "Might not be the best stuff, but free shit is free shit." So trust me, I understand both mindsets. I'm not bitching, just pointing things out from my perspective. And their social media stuff is pretty cringeworthy (once again, personal opinion). My wife has an Omega, I happen to think it's a great can. Nice size, decent weight, and good performance. Better yet it came with a free suppressor that can do double duty on pistols and rimfire.
It's annoying that you have to wait so long for the free suppressor, but it's still a free suppressor. I don't know any other company that is just giving away suppressors. If there is, let me know so I can get a free suppressor.
People just like to bitch for the sake of bitching. And I think people get waaaay too carried away when it comes to suppressor performance and the minutia between suppressors.

But they'll be alright, they just got a big cash-cow FedBoi contract a little while back, so they won't be going under anytime soon.
I don't hate them or their products, I just think that with so many new companies entering the game, with all this new technology being utilized, with all the Form1 guys creating some awesome new style baffles, and super-efficient cans, that SiCo is way behind the times, and really needs to do some more innovating. It seems they're fallen behind. They used to be one of the premier suppressor companies in the game, but over the last 5+ years, I feel they've kind of slipped a little bit.To each their own.
I personally don't mind waiting for a free suppressor, and I'm happy with the suppressors I do have from SiCo. I think the Omega is a pretty good general duty suppressor.
I also don't spend any time on social media, so how a company represents themselves on such platforms has little bearing on my perception of them.
If people can't be bothered to wait for a free suppressor, then take heed and buy one instead. Otherwise, it's a pretty good deal.

I'll agree that at least from a precision rifle standpoint, they could be doing more to push their products to the forefront.I don't hate them or their products, I just think that with so many new companies entering the game, with all this new technology being utilized, with all the Form1 guys creating some awesome new style baffles, and super-efficient cans, that SiCo is way behind the times, and really needs to do some more innovating. The firearms industry is getting ridiculous with this stuff.Meh if I had to guess, they do the BOGO so they can get an infusion of interest free cash with no up front cost. Basically they buy the materials as they build against the BOGO demand and because everything is spoken for, cuts down on their risk. It's why preorders are retarded... Why should I give you free money up front ? Na chief
They could become insolvent like they did about 6 years ago when they needed investors to come bail them out if they decided to do a simple traditional sale price cut I would imagine..
Sico is genius in that are able to do this not once but twice.... And because they are letting their customers shoulder that risk... They are in 0 hurry to get product out quickly... Why should they? They got free cash in the short term and as long as there is enough margin they are g2g
Agree but you don’t have to do it if you don’t want to.The firearms industry is getting ridiculous with this stuff.
It's one thing to take down payments to secure a place in line when custom work is commissioned through a master craftsman.
It's another thing altogether to collect payment and then push back delivery dates month after month for production run items. That's just piss poor management and it's become the norm. Get your shit together.
Not a bad deal at all.Agree but you don’t have to do it if you don’t want to.
In my case I bought a SiCo 36M for $699 on a Black Friday deal and am getting a Sparrow for free. The 36M shipped in 2 weeks.
Had I spent $700 I would have got a .45 Cal suppressor free.
So it’s not like I invested and had to wait. Also, they were upfront about an “estimated” wait time but missed it by 2 months. Anymore that’s almost expected sadly enough.
Even when you get something for free, people still bitch about it, unbelievable.
If you buy a key from me for $30k I'll give you free car to go with it. Is the car really free?
There's profit baked into the package deal, otherwise the promotion wouldn't exist. You can get creative about throwing the word "free" around, but if we're being honest it's really just a bunch of bullshit semantics.
Fucking newbies. This is the firearms industry, get with the program guys. The industry motto has been, and always will be:
"You will pay up front in full, receive zero updates, you will never complain, and you will like it. We will deliver your paid in full item at a date and time of our choosing. Dare to complain, and YOU will be made out to be the asshole."
No.... it just means that there was enough margin in the 699 36m price that they can sell you a sparrow and 36m and still make some profit.Again, I paid $699 which was a considerable discount from retail/msrp. That’s the point. It’s definitely a gimme. The .gov is another discussion.![]()
Because free doesn't exist outside of soup kitchens and unwanted advice.I don't understand how its not considered free.
You pay for one suppressor at it's normal price, and you get a second suppressor for no additional cost. That's the definition of free.
Yes, sucks that you have to wait so long for it. But at the end of the day, it's a free suppressor.
Because free doesn't exist outside of soup kitchens and unwanted advice.
If the "free" item is subject to conditions, it's not free at all. Manufacturers set the MSRP and/or the selling price of an item. It's a made up number based on cost of goods sold and amortized overhead, plus the manufacturer's desired margin for profit.
You purchased two items for $700. You can allocate the total purchase price however you want between the two items... $350/$350, $500/$200, $600/$100 or $700 and "free." It doesn't matter. In reality, you purchased two suppressors at a discount from that made up MSRP number.
If I called up SiCo and asked for a free suppressor and they told me "sure, come by and pick it up," that would be free. They're making money off of this deal, otherwise they wouldn't be doing it. Nothing is free.
So it's the WEF (World Economic Forum) of guns... This year Klaus Schwab said he wants the world to become completely dependent on governments and elites, "You will own nothing, and be happy."Fucking newbies.

Realize that the consumer firearms market is a giant battered wives club. That will make understanding how firearms companies run their businesses much easier.I have no dog in the fight, but I seem to recall that this is a recurring issue with their BOGO promotions? I remember reading similar complaints a few years ago. What I will never understand about this industry is why they continue to promote delivery time frames that cannot be met. If I were in the business, I would double or triple my best case scenario delivery estimate. So state up front it will take up to a year to get your free can, for example. No one will complain if it arrives early. Let the consumer decide if they can wait or want to wait. But then again, I don't have a business degree from Harvard so I could be full of shit![]()

Firearm manufacturers treat their customers poorly, because that is what the buying public has come to expect. And, the manufacturers know that is what the buying public expects.I don't get it either.
If you can't keep up with demand then stop taking orders and suggesting unrealistic lead times. Either way you're selling everything you can produce. If you want to raise prices to increase margins and lower demand, that's fine too. Whatever floats your boat.
Taking someone's money with an eight week lead time, then shipping whenever the hell it's convenient is just poor business management. I don't understand how this is even worthy of discussion..... This isn't something that requires a post graduate education from an ivy league university to comprehend.
